OK I might just be missing something here. Notebook: ACER Aspire E5-471P-32VS I was trying to migrate an existing Win8 32 system to this notebook but can’t get the TouchPAD working. Just does not show up at all in the device manager. The TouchSCREEN works natively and all other drivers seem available except for the Intel Serial IO which has 3 components. There appears to be NO Intel 32bit driver for Intel Serial IO The ElanTech TouchPAD is connected to this bus and is not detected without the I2C Host controller. Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 9C61 ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C2&REV_0004 ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C2 ACPI\INT33C2 *INT33C2 3 devices are installed typically with the Intel Serial IO Driver 64 bit Driver Package. The other 2 are: Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 9C62 ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C3&REV_0004 ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C3 ACPI\INT33C3 *INT33C3 Intel(R) Serial IO GPIO Host Controller ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C7&REV_0004 ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_33C7 ACPI\INT33C7 *INT33C7 Considering the TouchPAD is an integral part of a Notebook it seems like some manufacturers have started down the road rendering the Win 32 bit systems obsolete. Hell there even seems to be a Win XP 64 bit driver for the Intel Serial IO. NB: Don’t be fooled by some sites which appears to have 32bit driver listed but it is just a ploy to install their Drive Identifier software.
