No. It just isn't there anymore. Of course, installers are still available, if You want to take risks, then try yourself what happens if trying to install. Maybe he'll be working for a few more days ... before it finally dies for ever.
It's there. Even if you take iexplore.exe from 19041, it will still launch Edge instead of IE. There is some redirection that happens at OS level that makes IE exit with code 1 and Edge is opened. Someone has to take a bit of time, investigate and work a patch around it.
But internet explorer mode on Edge is working perfectly. Even old ocx's are working. No need to do the ieframe.dll thing.
Maybe someone don't want to waste 400MB of space using that lame browser, maybe someone else likes to to swap system files just to understand better how windows works.... Except freshwater and food there are few things you really *need"
After update to .120 via Windows Update, Open iexplore using Run (Win+R), it's redirect to Microsoft Edge. Fix ieframe.dll in Build 22000.120, after update .100 to .120. Delete ieframe.dll.old (old backup used older Build 22000.xxx) from system32 Make Backup ieframe.dll from Build 22000.120, Rename ieframe.dll to ieframe.dll.old Extract ieframe.dll from 21382's install.wim or microsoft-windows-client-features-package.esd Copy ieframe.dll to system32 folder ieframe.dll from 21382 work on Windows 11 Build 22000.120.
We probably need to replace inetcpl.cpl too in order to get the full range of options back, Windows 11 contains a simplified CPL where you cannot set options specific to IE, like home page etc. Where do we get that from?

Why do people want to Install Internet Explorer when Edge can open the specific site in IE mode? This topic is a non-issue. If one wants to open every damn site in IE then they better install Windows XP and call it a day.
