I actually was impressed with it because it's cleaner and much quicker. It's GPU acceleration is noticeable and now theres the 64bit flash plugin too, great stuff.
Cool will test this today itself,i think even Firefox 4 Beta 6 is going smoother than other browsers.. EDIT: Is it asking for windows validation before installation??
Whether it is slow or not or one likes it or not (I for one do not use it much), one has to use IE for some applications. I for use can access my web Lotus Notes only thru IE or sometimes Firefox. So, the new release is welcome. Frankly, the charm of Chrome is wearing off with some recent updates which develop problems with adobe docs and download errors (download shown as complete when it is not, say 15 MB of 18 MB downloaded and download finishes). I have not seen such errors with IE and to a lesser extent with Firefox. Do not use Safari or Opera. Can it be installed on top of IE 8 or does it count as a separate install with separate icon??
Is there a way to get the address bar on top of the tabs? I find it not to nice looking and inconvenient that it is placed like that. Please let me know if you can do this.
Not good. Most pages loaded slower, my Credit card site refused to open. Many sites needed to be refreshed before they agreed to load. Whats with the status bar? It refused to work. Have uninstalled and gone back to ie8 and everything's fine again. BTW, i have a 64bit system.
Perhaps a VM testing is in order before committing to physical system. As it is, I reinstalled everything yesterday and want to keep it fresh for a few weeks. Was looking forward to using it considering the better interface.
This will now be my default browser ie9 64 bit, more so that youtube is now working with a beta adobe square.
Another thing that seems not to work for me with IE9... its genuine check for windows anyone with same issue?
Here also glad with ie9 running 64-bit, now it also does (SVG) vector graphics without the adobe plugin. The only thing i do not like at all is the favorites on the right of the screen, i hope they will bring that back to the left.
I installed dutch version and had big problems.! It would not open or close! It was always restarting and i could not close it! Also I found nothing to uninstall! So I had to reinstall an image. I think i'll wait for the final
I just uninstalled IE 9 Beta. It looks great! but 3 things: Web pages load much much slower compared to IE 8 MSN Games doesn't work with it, always gives an error when trying to load a game The Send Feedback thing is never able to sign me in for me to send my feedback
I am sorry to hear that. It looks like another beta crap from M$. Seriously, M$ is playing catch up in the browser game, lol. I have not used IE for almost 6 years now except updating some M$ stuffs. I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole.
