I use the RTm yes. From here...
This version of win is newly installed. Nothing on it.

The only thing is, Adobe CS4, AVG Free. Nothing else.

Yes, I click install. Reboot-F8-Repair-"D:reset" (as the pc showed D:, but when I was finsih with install.. And everything.. The win is on C:) just followed prosedure.

Now I got that screen... But is it possible to uninstall this. And trie again? How do I do this.. Is there something else than push "Uninstall"?

    kindly

    Petter

Hey this is a bummer. This tool doesn't mess with boot so I'm stumped. So your saying when you got the recovery window it said (D:) but you also said it said (C:). I'm confused. Did it happen right after install or another restart?

What install does is install task and put reset.bat file in local disk which is usually again (C:)

When you enter local drive reset it just resets the registry to 4 rearms. I will have to wait til MasterDisaster can help us as I can't figure it out and this is the first time I've heard this problem as the GUIDE has only been around like maybe 2.5 months

I will stand by to help further if I can otherwise at boot see what option it gives to set boot disk. Not bios but other. Like I click "esc" at boot and i can choose either HDD, USB or DVD drive. See if that gets you back into windows for now

You might also be able to click F8 again at boot and select last good known configuration

And did you ever install andy other tools to deal with activation yet?

Yes when I did this the first time. It said D:, but when windows is installed and redy, afte two boots, it said C:. This is what I can`t understand.

I will trie to do an Unistall of the program. Take a reset again. Reboot... Normaly... I trie anothet try..

So please tell me how you got back into windows? You say you close it and everything is fine. Is that in RE you got window or as you we're booting into windows? And if you can make sure when in RE it gives you confirmation about "the operation successfully completed" which should only work with one of the options of cmds like C:reset, d:reset or e:reset. It shouldn't work for all just one cause if your in RE cmd prompt it will just say that cmd failed with wrong one

Thats the key. I would really like to know what happened to help anyone who has similar problem. And really if you can reboot fine now and if you have 4 rearms 30 days it worked. So now go into task scheduler library and look for "Rearm" task and follow instructions as to check 2nd setting box in properties

    Cool later

I think the reset thing. Was correct.. Because, when I installed windows.. Everything was done when windows was newly installed.. Right away... I think the installation uses an viritual drive at the start... Because, I found the prog in sheduler, so thats looks right.

Everything looks normal for me. It got back to windows like normal, I did not do anything.

    But, to my first question.
I have found out wich program the cmd tries to start. And that is a program called: Windows Updater. (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\JDstart.exe)

I don`t know what kind of program this is, Windows Update is like normal, no problem there.... Is this a program from this application?

    1. So You got your 4 rearms?

    2. You got task and checked box in properties

    3. So it just temporarily gave you cmd line screen then it just booted into windows like normal?

    4. Just curious exactly what happened. Enjoy your automatic rearms and restarts every 28 days for 5 months...lol

    1: Click "Check Rearms" :)
    2: Cool
3: Interesting, but does it do it every time or just that once?
4: Yea check hash on .exe which is listed on first page. It's kinda harmless sorta. It simply works around the trial given by MS so either you do RE cmds and you get 150 days or you just install task and get 120 days. At the end of each 28 day trial it automatically rearms/reboots then starts the next 28 days. It's that simple and noninvasive. We have eliminated nags. Otherwise it's the simplest way without modding bios, using loader, or modifying/patching stuff to be able to use windows 7. Personally I think the elimination of nag is the coolest part of the program and that it also does reg query regarding other OS's it will not work on and it doesn't install on them as to not mess up their registry

    @Daz

    Thanks for your help

3: Yes, it does this every time I start the computer. When I`m logging in. But now I have removed that shortcut. In it`s not doing it anymore.. I`ll try to find the file it tries to start tomorrow...
4: Yes, the hash is the right one... (MD5) But will this program give me unlimited with rearms? Or have I misunderstood?

It will rearm itself on the schedule if you install that part but you still have to go into PE mode to reset the rearms when that hits 0.

I just pushed Install, like it is told to do. And the restart and reset ++++.
Bu what do you mean with go to PE mode. To reset the rearms when it hits 0?

Does this mean that I have to watch it, and maintain it? It does not hadle it all by it self?

Maybe you should look into adding a popup message that would come up when getting close to 140th day?... Is that possible to do?

    @ pettergulbra
I agree with Daz about checking for malware/adaware. It sounds like that could be a problem.

I was just thinking that...lol However this is an "active" concept where the user participates more so than say with other tools. Which is what makes it kinda fun actually because the user gets to participate and have control. Odd's are actually most will probably go into notification unless their computer is always on like mine. Then simply they take 5 minutes to do RE cmds and then their back in action. That's the beauty of this program. Control over the rearms and thus trial. But it's a good idea though. I also have noticed that whenever I get a virus it sits in the exact same place as pettergulbra has his. Daz stated it's not even a windows program so he's got to run malwarebytes full scan to see if it lights up as malware, etc...

I had some other ideas within the parameters of using this program but really it's close to done. I just need help working with an XML file to have it be imported onto the users machine as a task and so that it will "on the fly" adapt to name and date of present user and user will not have to check task setting box in task scheduler

Well... there is always a space for improvement. You still could apply some ideas you have even though it is close to be completed.

Unfortunately I don't know enough about XML files to help you with it. But maybe Daz, Hazar or PAYMYRENT would be able to. Have you contacted any of them?
