I was just thinking... if the IR4 doesn't install any files now then maybe the UI should be redesigned just a bit. For example:

    1. "Install" should be renamed to something else (whatever its function is)... it's not install anymore, is it?

    2. "Uninstall" should be renamed to "Reboot" and has that exact function... since there is nothing to uninstall anymore. I don't know if it is possible to reboot and go directly to the RE without pressing F8... maybe a switch?

    3. "Check Rearms"... no change here.

    4. "Check Rearm Task" should be moved under the "Check Rearms"... makes more sense when both "checks" are one below the other one. Also it would be nice if "Check Rearm Task" could also bring the Task Manager if it found that the Rearm Task was not set yet.

    5. "Manually Rearm" should go under the "Check Rearm Task".

    6. "Instructions"... no change here.

    Just a thought.

IR4 doesn't install any files in a permanant sense when you come back from RE their gone in a few seconds

Install button installs the task and installs reset.bat to c:\ until you come back from RE then it puts installkey into c:\ then deletes all files in c:\...lol

Uninstall just uninstalls task...lol No boot is required...lol

I don't want to move buttons. Importing XML with advanced settings is in the works then this is done...lol

Try playing around with this some more to get the feel for it a little better...lol

No problem just the info you gave was incorrect except for your changing button order suggestion thats all ;) I like the buttons the way they are for now.

Yeah... I see that. I just did the entire procedure over and I see that I've made a mistake. I still would change the button order though... but that's just me.

I consider what users have to say since this is a kinda open source group project:) But right now I just don't see need or reason why button change would be better since you can put stuff that says rearm together or stuff that says check...lol

    Edit: I pm'd you a custom copy...lol

It's going really good. I haven't been working on DeathWAT in a while but I started 2 days ago again. V1.2 is going to officially release tomorrow. As for the UI, it's going to have the one 1.0 had. Your UI was extremely cool and it was nice of you do help me out but all the files weren't compiled into 1 like RemoveWAT. When someone sees all these files, they will get extremely confused. I hope you understand. Maybe we could get it compiled into 1 file.

    Your welcome ;)

Yes the XML that will eventually get imported to task scheduler should be the product of an application run when install is run and it will set correct start time with right user to set all advanced settings which is the best we can do to provide successful reboot/restart at the end of each trial duration. This is however, not that future version

Changing the install date in the registry on every reset. What do you think about that?

Thats one of the things I was getting at before. I don't know if the date is only stored in the registry though, if it is then you should as thats one possible way WAT could target this method.

IR4 Lite... What's new in this version? It's not just the UI, is it?

If you mean windows 7 install date then yes I like that idea alot. PMR has beta for XML and we're in testing. I will let you see it asap

    Thanks

Updated my post. After you reset open command prompt and type systeminfo. Look for Original Install Date.
