    Really cool.

    Makes it a single process from install to reboot.

    I'm not going to immediately release it. I'm gonna let it sit for a while this time in case we think something else up. Thanks for testing 2.5

    The only other thing we can think of is automating the RE bit.

    You mean like I suggested restarting into RE it or do mean something else?

    You know if it's true we can automate this we would be just like ODIN or Daz or any loader, etc

    I was thinking of creating a bare bones WinPE image that would have the registry editor and just enough to run reset.bat. I don't know whether it would be possible but just thinking.

    Cool I'd be into a simpler install. Do we have to boot from this or would it work with current build.

    later

    IR4 2.5 is back online and has both been simplified and has a little more automation. Please read IR4 facts as to what 2.5 does

    Thank you goodnight

    It will not work on Windows uses other language than English because when the 1.bat tries to create the rearm task with the schtasks command and with the /ru "Users" switch it simply cannot find it.
    The reason is simple.. the Users group is different in other languages.

    No it isn't, in other langs you see a different name in explorer, but actually it's still called users. Just type C:\Users in the directory bar in the explorer window, on any windows lang this will go to C:\Users, evn if users is called like "gebruikers" in dutch are something like that. Explorer just masks some folder names.

    It is not about explorer.
    And yes it is a problem.. just try it and you will get a 0x534 error code.

    schtasks is language dependent only till Windows XP. Task Scheduler 2.0 has lots of new updates and changes, Users is a BUILTIN account same as SYSTEM and is common throughout the OS in all languages. If I am wrong, then this program will work only on a English language system. Maybe people interested in this project can translate the batch file to regional languages.

    O great something else to work on...lol

    So do we had to loose the better rearm message with "users" to use the system account again...lol

    Someone confirm IR4 with use of non-english languages

    When task XML imports was this a problem or just since we changed to no import?

    @hell tourist

    So basically you are getting this when you click install? This is just regarding the task install right? Not RE

    Yes, just the task install.. and the problem is just the "Users" part.

    No error with the xml version because GroupID is not language dependent.

    What about the "Highest" part, does that need to be changed also?

    Can you try this, remove the /ru "Users" part from the command and check if the task is created or not.

    MD

    Can you change this

    Code:
    schtasks /create /tn "Rearm" /tr "'C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe' /c cscript.exe /b C:\Windows\System32\slmgr.vbs /rearm && 'C:\Windows\system32\shutdown.exe' -r -t 90 -c 'Please save your work. Windows will reboot in 90 seconds'" /sc daily /mo 30 /ru "Users" /rl "highest" /f
    IF ERRORLEVEL 1 echo Run this batch file as Administrator
    So it will run without /ru

    Thank you MD

    If I change the above code to the following, only the user account running this command will be allowed to run this task.

    Code:
    schtasks /create /tn "Rearm" /tr "'C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe' /c cscript.exe /b C:\Windows\System32\slmgr.vbs /rearm && 'C:\Windows\system32\shutdown.exe' -r -t 90 -c 'Please save your work. Windows will reboot in 90 seconds'" /sc daily /mo 30 /rl "highest" /f
    IF ERRORLEVEL 1 echo Run this batch file as Administrator

    The highest run level with the /rl switch is ok.
    It creates the task if I remove the /ru switch, but then it will create the task just for the current user
