Well I guess its up to you even thou (lol) the same goes for me except I don't use anything out there....
I think that this would be easier if Timesurfer/MasterDisaster did this:
You guys said that it took 15 minutes to rearm/reinstall IR4 why not make it a service which runs in pieces to make it easier so that it can reinstall itself... I won't say that I'm not surprised he ain't gonna try it but I'll give it a go on Vmware (note i do the same with my hack if that helps)....
My user preference to use all of them in comparison to see which works best on Vmware unfortunately since I don't have a machine I can actually experiment with this stuff on now sadly enough needless to say I was reinstalling the crap outta the OS most of the time lol...

Well I suppose its time for me to add this to the list of hacks I have to try since I also have to try a office 2010 one....

    @ MasterDisaster
It's a valid line, sort of. If you're planning to purchase Windows 7 at some point, but it's still exploiting the system because the same could be said for a loader.

"Wasn't the trial long enough? Install this until you're ready to buy Windows 7 and then simply uninstall it when you do."

Uninstalling reverts you back to an untouched system state with a trial serial installed...

    @ Super_User
Pretty much spot on. This is why I would like to see just 1 version of this doing well with some decent download figures.

When has MS ever come after an task...lol

You say it like its every couple weeks or months. It's only for 2-5 minutes every 150 days and zero worries of "de-activating" ;)

Daz loader has always worked fine for me really ;) IR4 seems less of a threat though for MS to come after since IR4 can't be intergrated as loaders are many times and in trial your always genuine!

As I said dude, personal preference. I like static solutions so even if it was 150 days away id still hate to have to run it again.

Anyway as I said theres a few other developers with applications that they put a lot of time into, just as you have with this. I appreciate that and while this project doesn't match up with my personal tastes I didn't say that thats what'd stop it from getting sticky status. If you get a solid version and you need an FTP link for it then contact me and I will add it for you, lets see how many downloads it can clock in. If you get some decent figures and keep up the support then it will get sticky status, it's that simple.

Actually Microsoft can do whatever they want because I won't get affected from it hehe
It's simple: I'm offline and automatic updates is shut off, no updates more then redists of DirectX, Visual C++ and .NET Framework hence no problems with WAT or WGA at all.

Windows 7 SPs isn't really interesting until SP2 or SP3 or at all because I can play anything I want as it is already.

I'll need to confirm with MD but I think it's safe to say just use the link on first page...lol ;)

And let us know when you test IR4 3.1 as we've all here tested your tool many, many times bro ;)

One small query that has been bugging me for sometime and is relevant if one wants to try out new Daz loader (say 1.8.5) after uninstalling the older one say 1.8.4 (compared with installing say 1.8.5.. over say 1.8.4) : I have tested that uninstalling daz reverts to unactivated state. But this was done after 3-4 days after fresh install of win 7. Will this work as the image is less than 30 days old. What happens after 30 days if I uninstall Daz.

    Hi timesurfer/MasterDisaster,
First thank you so much for giving all of us such a wonderful piece of software.I have followed all the threads related to this project(which are linked in the first page). Its my personal preference, just like yours, to really use Windows without using anything that i dont know what they does, which attracted me to this project. But initially i noticed there were 2 versions(in fact 3 if i consider 7ekn00's GUI) of this..GUI from timesurfer, Console from MasterDisaster and also since the console version,in a way, is open source i loved it! but as of IR4 2 i think there is no console version available. The last version is 2.0 by MasterDisaster. Now my point is, if only u could post the source code as well it not only helps beginners like me to learn a lot of stuff but also many people can see and fine tune(if at all necessary..lol) this already wonderful product.
Two specific great improvements in IR4 3.1 which are not in console version are
    1. Automatic reboot into recovery environment(RE) and
    2. Re-Arm without requiring reboot(the latest change)
I would love to know how these are done.
Has been a great fan of your work on this!! Hope this gets the sticky status..:)

    Respect timesurfer and MasterDisaster:worthy:

For automatic boot to RE, the following command is needed
    Code:
    reagentc /boottore
the above command set a BCD entry to boot into RE on the next restart.

Rearm within windows is very simple, just restart the Software Protection Platform Service after the rearm instead of a restart.

The source code for this project is always available in this post.

Just found out that I cannot go manually to Recovery Mode from F8 screen, it complains of a device missing? Is there a way to fix this? x64 ultimate.

I have Windows XP installed on a primary partition. I used the VHD option to install Windows 7 on my system. So my Windows 7 is installed in a VHD. When I boot Windows 7 (VHD) the system/boot drive (XP) has its drive letter removed.

I want to ask how should I use IR4. Will it's use affect files within the VHD or it will also effect my XP partition.

Note: I have multiple Windows 7 (VHD) installs.

The latest IR4 attributes are always on first page immediately as they are now ;)

I replaced the usual changelog with the IR4 Saga and IR4 Facts :p

I think hes asking for the change log to see what the differences are from one version to the next...
And yea that would be helpful...
