    @timesurfer:
sorry bro cudn't reply to ur PM..my post count was less than 5:p
but just wanted to let u know IR4 worked like a charm...a great windows hack i have seen in a long time...
rearming is i guess the best way to go about using windows forever...
i have one doubt y do we have to repeat this after 150 days?
is it bcoz IR4 reinstalls the default key at the start of 150 days and then keeps rearming 4 times giving a total runtime of 150 days? am i right..???
in any case keep the awesummm work going...;)

Cool man that's what I like to hear. The reason we have to take 5 minutes to reinstall every 150 days (180 days with SP1) is because we simply run out of rearms. The default key is installed after the registry subkeys have been reset when you restart into windows. In fact it is installed about the same time the
    watermark disappears

    Take care later

I wanted to say a heartfelt THANKS! for this. I spent 3 days searching for a way to get around that black screen and "This copy of windows is not genuine" message.

    Worked like a charm.

Question. Will Microsoft eventually catch on and make a update to counter like they did with the KB971033 update?

MS didn't catch the popular hacks including IR4 3.1 with their KB971033 update

You will always be genuine with IR4 3.1 because you are always genuine in trial ;)

Their is nothing to fall from like with the other solutions regarding their being "activated" which is why this solution method was so attractive to me when I first heard of people trying develop a "rearm" concept :p

After careful examination of all solutions offered at MDL I decided to get help creating IR4 so in essence this is my back up plan if other exploits become detected so I think with IR4 3.1 we will be ok :)

Hey timesurfer I was just thinking. With the other solutions (at least most of them) if you want to switch to another "activation method" you have to "clean" the previous one you were using before switching. Was there any testing done as to if IR4 will work after using another method?

No... I know about the IR4 being a clean solution... I did quite a bit of testing for it, remember? This is not about IR4 question.

I was asking because I read some posts in other threads about people having problems with using other methods when they mixed different "activation solutions". And many times the solution was to clean any previous methods they used. Then I read the first page in this thread again and I noticed that we have nothing to tell people what to do if they used something else before using IR4 and now want to switch to IR4.

In a few words, maybe we should add to the first page that would be a good idea to clean any previous activation solutions people used before switching to IR4 to avoid any future problems... just as a precaution.

Re-read my statement I think I described what you are suggesting? Yea we could add that but RW is the main solution that leaves the OS kinda "unclean" so I guess the RWfix of Daz and reseting the services to default would fix that. I figure if they have problems they would ask for help but few do with IR4 :p

I'm not sure what else to fix though...lol

That's a good idea though thank you

Yeah, it was just a suggestion in case someone was having problems because of using more than one solution and couldn't figure it out why nothing worked for him/her. But you're right, they can just come here and ask for help if needed.

Yeah, all the stuff on the first page is useful and related to the app so that's good. That means the IR4 is well documented and everything is covered as it should be.

Let me know after you get the new windows 7 installed ;)

For your info the RTM at that link is basically retail so it's the best and final build of MS regarding 7 so you won't have to install 7 again...lol
