Ok, i think i got it working now.
I inserted the installation cd and clicked on the repair pc choice.
The program found something wrong with my startup and asked me if i wanted to fix it.
I answered yes, so it restarted windows. I pressed F8 and finally i saw the first choice repair pc.
From there, i just followed your instructions and all went well.
    thanks.

If your start up is fine now then maybe the automatic restart into RE might also work now. Can you try regular installation to see please. No need to uninstall although you can

Also what solutions did you try prior?

    Thanks

Yes, i now see RE into my startup F8 menu. It's the top first choice.
I have also tried a new installation from the same dvd on another pc, and here everything went well. So it was an problem that i had only on the first pc (notebook).
I haven't tried any solution prior the help from this forum.
And also.... the reagentc /info, still gives me the recovery operation : 4... so it didn't depend on that.
Anyway, these are the steps i did to resolve:
    1. reboot pc with windows 7 installation dvd inside the cdrom.
    2. waited for the boot from cd
    3. at installation screen, i clicked on the bottom screen link "repair ..."
    4. asked me for language and login
    5. while search for windows installation, a popup came on screen telling me that there was something wrong with my startup and asked me if i wanted to fix it.
    6. i answered yes.
    7. it rebooted again.
    8. i took out the cd and pressed F8 to get into the startup menu.
    9. this time, i finally saw the first recovery choice in the menu.
    10. from here on, its all normal.

thats it. Hope it could help someone else.

    sfc /scannow passes just fine. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600).
Running the task in the scheduler manually doesn't work and nor dose running the rearm option from inside "IR4 3.1.exe". I think its an outside problem effecting how the script runs or rather preventing it from running due to some kind of change. I will install windows again inside a virtual machine and attempt to reproduce the same problem because I think I might know whats causing it or at least where to start looking.

A few quick general questions if you don't mind:

    One.
    A. The task in the task scheduler named "Rearm" is for automatically reinstating the 30 day demo mode every month without the user having to do it manually correct?
    B. If yes then dose this task automatically run on the next reboot of the computer assuming it was off at the time it was set to trigger?

    Two.
    A. Can the rearming task only happen if the timer has expired?
    B. If no can you think of any disadvantages of having this task run more frequently such as once every 7 days?

Thanks again for your time kind sir =)

    A. Yes
    B. It does not which is why sometimes I advice to install at time comp will most likely be on. We've really spent alot of time into this aspect of IR4 but found it best to keep it simple so if Windows give you msg just click rearm with no restart necessary

    A. The task can be run at any time and even 4 times in a row
    B. You only get 4 rearms and 30 days so if you did rearms at every 7 days IR4 would only last 28 days plus the 30 days you got after your last rearm. With IR4 you have to spend like 5 minutes every 150 days reinstalling and maybe with SP1 every 180 days like KMS but we won't be certain til that day comes

    Hello Timesurfer,

When I installed IR4 on my brothers PC (fresh win7 install). The script wasn't copied to C:
We installed a new HDD and installed Win7 on that, and his old XP HDD became a data drive. But in the command prompt after the IR4 install reboot - the new win7 C drive is now another letter (G:in this case).
No files were copied to any of the drives.
I unplugged the power to the 2 old HDDs and this time IR4 went through.
Now, I suspect that when time comes to rearm, that it will cause problems because the old drives are again present?
(why does "DOS" see the drive letters differently than disk management?)

    Anyways, great work! =)

    Cheers,

pwr (ItsJesusLOL on that other site :)

It deletes that file when it's done and it might also have put IR4.bat in the hidden partition.

Thanks for answering the IR4 dude with honor and respect! I have been noticing some long-timers here bashing and flaming others when they are complete beginners and/or have some disability of some sort which I greatly disprove of. Giving someone massive s**t or teasing is way different than bashing, flaming or being brutal so I appreciate your coolness when others become at the effect of their emotions in a bad way when they respond or the lack thereof.

Being nice never cost anyone a dime but when people flame, etc, they indeed look like the beginners in life and set a bad example for everyone

    Peace out

yah its has been crazy it seems all people want to do is fight and insult each other like they have nothing else to do. (Counting out the moderators and admins of course who are the greatest I might add) I just wish every one could be respectful and kind a lot of people have put a lot of time in to this board not for it to be filled with all that garbage. Good job again CRA2YHAVOK for being nice to the new people! :)

lol yeah. i've actually been doing this for a while, just reformatting after the 120 days and then getting another 120 days on a fresh install but this time i lost track of what month i was in and how many days were left to activate. I didn't feel like reformatting again so good thing i found this tool :)
