I never said it activates...lol It uses the grace period to use win 7 then after the first 30 days is up it rearms automatically and you get another 30 days and so forth for 150 days. Where did you see 6 months...lol I suggest you read a little so you can better understand what your using ;)

Don't be confused dude you just install IR4 when comp will deff be on so it will within windows rearm every 30 days. Rearm = 30 days hence after 4 rearms have run you simply reinstall. Really simple actually

    Very nice tool.
How about creating a scheduled task that automates it every XX days?

Look in your task scheduler you'll see the rearm task which runs every 30 days to rearm inside windows. Install IR4 when comp will be on so task will run. If comp is off and you go past task time/date for task to run and MS gives you msg to activate then open IR4 and click rearm and wait 10 seconds and it will manually rearm inside windows and give you status msg box. You can test the rearm button to see for yourself what it does and you can always reinstall IR4 for another 150 days. This project is final!

So can I install Windows 7 without a product key or with an SLP key and use this for good?

Just click install Matrix Leader then in 150 days (180 with SP1) reinstall. It takes like 5 minutes. And follow advice I just gave...

Sorry man I couldn't read through the many pages......

So I dont need to even install a key heh?

That'd be awesome if it's true

And I can still receive all the updates?

I am personally using the BIOS Mod trick but I'm asking for a friend

    thanks

Yea, what time said, since this tool keeps windows in trial/grace mode updates will always work so no worries there at all lol. Honestly even though this requires maintenance every few months this is the best alternative activation method for a few reasons. Unlike most tools this one keeps windows in trial mode so it looks less suspicious, and that it really does not mod the system at all unless you add the service and even if you do add the service, it could be anything in M$ eyes lol. Keep it up time!

Every 150 days a 5 min reinstall is required (180 with SP1), No service just a task to rearm inside windows 4 times automatically. It's still the solution I use and is my favorite but I respect them all.

I hate to crash this party, but this really isn't working for me. Before I begin, I am not stupid and I followed your instructions to the letter.

    Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

    Steps I took:

Opened IR4 3.1 (I just got the version from the start of this thread)
    Hit Install
    Hit Yes
    Machine rebooted
Waited for Windows to finish loading files
    Hit "Next"
Hit "OK" for my User Name
    Selected "Command prompt"

Was greeted with a command prompt titled:

    Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe

This is the exact line I hit the enter key to. The command is in all caps exactly as described:

    X:\windows\system32>C:IR4

    Which came up with:
'C:IR4 is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I then changed to C and ran:
    C:\>dir

Volume in drive C: is System Reserved
    Volume serial number is xxxx-xxxx

    Directory of C:\

    File Not Found

I then changed to D and ran dir as well, noticing that there are two files created by IR4 in D (of course, actually being my C: drive in Windows)
    ~0 and IR4.bat

I ran IR4 from within D and my machine came up with 6 "ERROR" messages then immediately rebooted. (I rebooted and repeated this about 10 times in order to read what the error messages said)

ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.
ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value.
    ERROR: The parameter is incorrect.

    OMG you crashed the party...lol

So I guess for some reason IR4.bat ins't getting put into your local drive and we also put it in the hidden partition if it exists. Are you running acronis or some unusual drive set up? Please tell me what other solutions you might have used. And if you want to post screenshot of disk management maybe that will help. It works with all local drives despite it saying just C:

Also it runs in lowercase and I think even with "" apostrophe included...lol

My guess is placement problem or IR4.bat on your system. Is task there?

Lol you're lucky that I'm pretty good with computers because setting C: to "Active" made my system UNBOOTABLE! But that wasn't too bad of a fix to get it back :p

Also, the task is posted above.
