Immediately after installing Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7600, I used Windows 7 Loader Slic Activation Release 5 and RemoveWAT v2.1 to permantely remove the timer and notifications. I used this method every time I rebooted my PC (after a few months or so). It worked flawlessly until I decided to try out Windows XP Mode for Windows 7. Windows XP Mode ran checks to see if my system was genuine before it installed and that's where I screwed up. It somehow reactiavted the timer and notifications.

So, I tried your tool and it didn't work properly for me because of that. I know it didn't work because I just recently got the "Windows is not genuine" notification this morning when I turned on the PC. But you know, before I used your patcher, I used it to check the remaining time on my trail and it did in fact say 0 days and 2 rearms. After using it, it shows the "!" only. At this point, I'm guessing I'm totally screwed and I may have to reinstall Windows 7 after all... Unless you know of some way to get around it. I'm going to try uninstalling your tool and uninstalling RemoveWAT, then using your tool again to see if anything happens.

Ok. This is prior to uninstalling IR4: 3.1 and undoing RemoveWAT.

lol...Yea IR4 works with loader still installed but because IR4 installs default key it's like it' isn't there

Basically I can test Daz with IR4 still installed :)

    Thanks for helping flare4000

    @Nagashi

I think you can use Daz loader to uninstall loader and reboot and you'll be fine cause Daz put's back default key...lol

Np, and it would be best to unstall the loader either way because trail oem :slp would seem odd to microsoft and would be easy to see

It must have had problem copying the IR4.bat file into your system drive or the hidden partition where IR4 puts that bat file

Please tell me what solutions you used prior and any drive maintenance software like acronis you might be using. There doesn't appear to be a consistent error just usually something messed up with user OS

The x:\windows\system32\ is not a problem that's what it looks like in RE

    WHS Vail Question

    Hi Timesurfer:
First, I wanted to thank you for the excellent work on this patch. Your effort is truly appreciated. I'm currently running a time-limited version of Windows Home Server Codename Vail. FYI, Vail is built on Server 2008 R2. I really like the software and would like to evaluate it past March of 2011 (when my trial expires). This is especially important to me since Microsoft recently decided to drop the Drive Extender feature of Vail by the time it goes RTM. I have activated the software using a key from Microsoft and currently have two rearms available. I'd like to use your patch, but am wondering if I should wait to run the program until the trial period is finished. I actually installed a second copy of WHS on a virtual machine and was able to extend the rearm count from two to four using IR4, but that knocked out my original activation efforts (I’m assuming this happened because another key was installed with your patch). Of course, it was not a problem reactivating WHS using the original key, but I wonder if I should change the time when rearm starts working in Task Scheduler to March of 2011. Thanks for any and all your thoughts on this matter.

IR4 is not activation solution it keeps OS in trial forever

If vail is supported then you can use now

    Hi timesurfer:
Thanks for the quick reply. I understood from reading parts of this thread (and from trying it out for myself on a virtual machine) what the function of your program was. I guess I was just wondering if it made more sense to keep my server in a perpetual trial or to let the activation period run out before applying your patch. I also was wondering if I need to rearm my server once before applying your patch. Thanks again!

It would be nice if someone can take the time and explain step by step guide on how IR4 solution works (or if timesurfer's can share the source better), keep in mind that the download only give to you the binary.

I'm taking my first steps and would like to learn and know if I can apply the same procedure use in IR4, to another software like for example Microsoft Point of Sale 2009.

Since servers are usually always on that makes IR4 a great solution for them. Basically after SP1 final is installed you'll get complete and uninterrupted usage of Win7/R2 for 6 months. It is clean solution that doesn't brick boot or change system files

Just install whenever you want and always uninstall previous solutions prior to IR4 usage

    Hope it works for you

    Hi jinhenson,

IR4 is very simple! Actually most of what IR4 does is just let task rearm every 30 days as MS gives you 3 rearms 30days to test hence 120 days/4months

What we at IR4 do is go into Recovery Envirionment (RE) then enter cmds to reset to 4 rearms 30 days hence 5 months use in trial

We also disable any nags to activate

That's pretty much it and any files that are put in win 7 are deleted after usage so nothing is on comp except harmless task

    Take it easy ;)

    Hi

I don't know whether this is purely coincidence, but immediately after rearming Windows 7 my desktop gadgets no longer appear. Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?

    Thanks

IR4 doesn't mess with any settings or configurations. Try right clicking desktop and open the gadgets again

    Hi

It turned out to be a registry error which I was able to fix fairly quickly. Thanks for the info and reply though.

    Cheers

Yea I think IR4 is the safest solution or very close ;)

Doesn't brick boot and doesn't mess with any files

Hi - major, major problems here.

First time I've had to reinstall. Tried it 4 or 5 times now. Keep getting the not genuine message. Command prompt says it's successful but remains 'not genuine'. Keep getting 'no such interface supported' when I try to open folders (have to right click, open).

Please help - I don't have a clue what to try.

    Thanks in hope and anticipation
