Try opening cmd prompt as admin then copy paste this into cmd prompt

    sfc /scannow

That should repair anything you messed up then reboot again

Edit: What have you been doing with your comp. Be honest...lol

This is the first report of IR4 working then not for some reason...lol

    Hi Thanks

I tried that but it found no integrity problems and still no joy. Can't understand this.

    Hi,
is this supposed to work even after the last grace period, when no more rearms are availabe?

Because it doesn't seem to work for me. Additionally, after installing, if I select the Status or Rearm options I just get an empty warning window.

EDIT: it seems I'm having exactly the same problem as Nagashi, on page 133 of this thread, except that I hadn't installed any loader or stuff like that before.

No as I said I didn't mess up with the OS, except for running slmgr.vbs three times until the last available rearm, that is.

I do have an old installation of windows xp on C:, however, and I get the windows boot loader screen at startup that asks me to select which OS to start. Probably as a consequence of that, when I install IR4 the file IR4.bat is not copied on C: but on another drive letter (which is, I think, the partition in which win 7 is installed, on a different hdd).
I might try to boot win 7 after disabling in the bios the hard disk that stores win xp, if that can help.

UPDATE: well, something weird has happened.
A few minutes after writing my previous message, the system restarted due to a previously scheduled system update installation.
After reboot, I got again the "activate windows within 30 days" window: after that, there was no watermark on the background and, in short, I finally have all my 4 rearms back!

Note that I had rebooted several times yesterday, I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling IR4 a couple of times, but with no success.

It looks like the system update did the trick. Additionally, the IR4 status windows is now working properly and it tells me remaining time 30 days, remaining rearms 4 and next run time 14/01/2011.

Please let me know if there's any info I can give to figure out what has happened (after all I think I'll need it before the next rearm count reset....).

No need! IR4 problems are very random and virtually non-existant

    Take care

    Enjoy IR4

Hi, I'm using windows 7 enterprise 90 day trial. I had 88 days left (with 4 rearms). Originally, I had 5 rearms. That means I was given 100 days trial (10 days for activation) + 5 rearms = 600 days, only problem- the 'trial logo' at the bottom

I used IR4 to see if it's working for me - It worked, now there is no logo at the bottom. Thanks for that.
But the initial grace period is 30 days now (with 4 rearms)

My question - Why has the grace period reduced?
Why wouldn't rearm count go beyond 4? (Originally I had 5 rearms)
Will I be able to use this tool in the future with the same copy/with a newer copy?
    Has the activation code changed?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi
I want to try IR4 on my new laptop.
I was just asking, are any IR4 updates coming or this is build stable enough for me to use with the newer Windows Updates (SP1 RC)?
Thanks for your great work. :)

will your rearm tool allow me to update my microsoft security essentials regularly?

the reason for asking whether i can update Microsoft security essentials is that i used different cracks but still Microsoft security essentials shows a message that my windows isnt genuine and it'll be disabled after 30 days!help much appreciated.thanx i am a newbie here plz do ur best.

When we delete the WPA key it resets to 4. Don't worry though it's still 150 days in grace with no nags and when SP1 comes it will give 6 months grace ;)

IR4 has lasted almost a year so I think you'll be fine through SP1 and any updates

    IR4 works with all AV's :D

Basically, IR4 works with anything installed on your computer without any problems. The reason for this is that IR4 is not a "crack" but a "reset tool". It doesn't remove or modify any system files. After using IR4 your copy of Windows7 is not "cracked" or activated but it remains in its trial period just like when you installed it for the first time so there is no reason for any security software to "think" that there is anything wrong with the Windows.

    Hope that helps.
