1. KB5014023 is not today's LCU, it's from june 2. 2022, today kb5014699 (1904x.1766.1.9) is released. 2. dism doesn't install the SSU inside the LCU, afaik, so first integrate the latest SSU and next integrate the LCU, or simply use W10UI to do it for you.
1. You must have replied right as I was editing the thread title because I already corrected the KB5014023 error. 2. I can confirm that DISM DOES NOT install the SSU that's inside the LCU. I manually extracted the SSU cab from the LCU and installed it before integrating KB5014699 and now it's working fine. I guess that means that all the previous 21H2 images I created weren't getting the SSU's applied either, although DISM never threw an error before. Before M$ starting including the SSU in the LCU, I was manually downloading it and integrating the SSU before integrating the LCU. But I figured that since M$ is including the SSU in the LCU that it should automatically install. Shame on me for thinking M$ would consider something so trivial. In any case, Thanks for the tip that led to me resolving the issue.
But the SSU is already inside the LCU! Why the hell doesn't it just apply it? Makes no sense having it in the LCU if it's not going to be utilized. And why the hell don't they list "KB5014032" on the "Latest Servicing Stack Updates" page? You'd think that since M$ has been deploying updates for over two decades they'd have it figured out by now. It's always something with these imbeciles! SMH
That actually work fine only for Windows 11 for Windows 10, the concept is not working as promised if the LCU to be installed require specific SSU version, that SSU must be already installed, or installed separately first the bundled SSU is not reloaded during LCU bundle installation, it's ment for future LCUs
