It puzzles me why you would even want the Slate, it's nearly identical to the Slate 7 but: It has no NFC, Gyro and some other internal stuff you can't make use of anyway without you being the Developer until the Windows Store opens. Everything else in the Slate is identical, it has the same RAM, CPU, SSD, Display, Ports and TPM. We will see more of these devices in 2012 months before Windows 8 actually ships, all of current Slates are not Consumer oriented as they come with a TPM, even though the chip is only 10-20$ or less, no Consumer device will come with one and let's not forget that the Devices are extremely pricey for what they do (Normal for enterprise hardware) Short: Don't waste your money.
'Couse I Need a slate With large screen and 1366x768 resolution (for full Immersive experience), USB 3.0 to speed up my USB Pendrive and of course I prefer Intel Core iX Series to Atom, I can't wait becouse my actual Dell Notebook is dieing (I spent a lot of money to buy parts and repair it) And last but not least every day I spend 4 to 6 hours taking notes at the university so I need a Tablet with strong battery. Samsung 700t (Build edition) is the only one which can meet my needs at the moment because the canonical Series 7 Slate won't have USB 3.0
canouna then, Windows 8 is now quicker than: >670.616.629 mph Ok, so time to switch to Future (8) haha Thanks for Info canouna, and if you share this with us you're immortal, but probably unemployed? haha ... So we waiting of a new Leak from OvaryActing
Nooooooo leak from me personally. I like getting bits from MS on a regular basis. It makes it so much easier to have a very very very very extensive collection of builds. I am not going to risk that, regardless of how underpaid by Uncle Bill and Cousin Ballmer.
You are welcome. But, there are people out there who are not afraid to waive the middle finger at "the man", so who knows... maybe some OEM will be kind enough again to give us an early Christmas present or perhaps to give an offering for thanksgiving holiday.
This is true. But the grunts deploying bits on a daily basis, both virtually and on on real hardware, do not enjoy such status. Trust me. They do make a fair bit of coin, but not that kind lol
