I did some calculations based on the rate of builds compiled between M2 and M3 (On average 0.8 builds per day). Based on the calculations, the final beta build will be compiled by January 1st, 2012. This is of course assuming 8200 will be the beta build. =)
One of my friends wants me to convert their Apple computers to Windows PC, have you done that before?
thanks for letting me know just found it it's most likely 8102 blurred out with zuko written on it now its time for you to show us the real stuffs
-Create a WindowsToGo x64 drive, install Windows AIK on it and save Install.wim somewhere on the external drive. -On your Mac create 2 new partitions 1st: more than 40MB FAT32; 2nd 20GB or more NTFS (I suppose you have NTFS for Mac or similar on your Mac) -Now insert your WindowsToGo drive and restart your Mac. -boot from the Windows to go USB drive (press ALT While Booting and selec "EFI Boot" enter) -Expand Install.wim on the NTFS partition using Imagex -open CMD as Administrator and type: Bcdboot X:\Windows /s Y: /f UEFI (Change X with NTFS volume letter and Y with the FAT32 Volume letter) -Shut down WindowsToGo, extract the USB Pendrive and now boot your Mac from windows. It works on Macbooks and iMac With Intel CPU. If you have an nVidia GPU, don't install drivers for it (nVidia graphics does not Support EFI Boot) Works only With Windows Developer Preview x64
Thanks, but the intention was to convert to win7 completely or dual boot with win7, did not want to mess with win8 at all...
Ok, Then... so I guess you want to definitely delete Mac OS X... and install Windows 7 instead -on your mac open disk utility, create a new partition (the smallest possible) and format it as HFS Journaled -download rEFIt (Google it to find the installation package) and install it on the partition you created before then restart your mac -boot your mac from OS X installation media, open Disk Utility, initialize mac partition as FAT -insert your WindowsToGo device (look at post 403 to find out how to create it) and boot your mac from it -From Windows 8 convert FAT partition into NTFS and using imagex expand Windows 7 Install.wim on that partition. -Open CMD as Administrator and type: Bcdboot X:\Windows /s X: /f BIOS (Change X with NTFS volume letter) -Shut down WindowsToGo, extract the USB Pendrive -Choose Windows when rEFIt menu appears. NOT TESTED BUT IT SHOULD WORK
