Yeah ME - so far I have been able to create a bootable USB to install the OS on a different partition than the one I am working on - have not tried to install yet - as far as I can tell, it is the same build version we all have already. I am having some issues trying to update the Win 7 Prox64 system I an currently using - that is all I can tell you now.
You could paste the hash for the iso, then everybody knows if it's the exact same iso or a updated one (well if yours isnt corrupted)
I have not installed OS yet - BUT - the files hashes for the sources/set up.exe file are the same as the one we already have.
LOL, it's also in sources, just tell us the size in exact bytes, then we can guess if it's the same as ours. what I have for x86 is install.wim = 2,970,128,304 bytes.
Hey bchat it's in the "sources" folder of your iso **Edit** Faikee beat me too it Additional Info: x64 install.wim = 3,272,287,978 bytes x64 w/dev tools = 4,563,831,114 bytes
In the newly created USB there is no install.wim in sources, there is in the original USB Original USB - 64 bit version = 3.82 GB New USB - not sure what version - wasn't given option as I recall - is 3.08 GB ETA - I reserve the right to be wrong here - I don't think this is a traditional d/l an .iso file like we did before. I think this whole deal is about doing a web based install. There are MS employees on the Connect site answering our questions - I had a problem installing and they think Perfect Disk Pro was screwing the set up up.
Then whatever it is, it is something new, that's why MS need developers to test installing in different machines. LOL, couldn't wait..........
I think you are correct about the something new - so far I have been given 3 beers and a cheese pizza during the d/l
If this is the case, only the invited guests are able to install them, and this is not for anyone else.
