Didn't i clearly state at the OP, it either is a free giveaway OR DID THEY BOTCH UP the activation servers... Please read.
i think it is clear enough, it means that you can obtain digital license by doing a clean install with the versions mentionned in the first post on machines that never had these versions installed on them so for example, if you buy free dos machine, you can install win10 and get it activated automatically with digital license by connecting on the net. I don't know how long this will last but it seems to be another flaw from MCFT so enjoy it fully while it is still of use
Are you serious ? I think l made that very clear in my previous post. you do a clean install with one of the versions mentionned in first post, you don't enter any key during the installation then all you will have to do is connecting your machine to the net and you will have your win10 version activated automatically with digital license. if you still don't get what i just say, there is no more i can do for you.
Next week i get a laptop that only has 10 Home installed, ever. I have permission to test on it. If it also gets Home N or Pro (+N) hwid without manual intervention (aka directly after clean install) it can be two possibilities: 1. The Home HWID activates all, at the OP mentioned, sku's (incl. N versions). Which never happened on all my installs, since pre 10240. 2. They botched up something, as stated as a possibility at the OP. I don't have access to a pristine system that never had any windows 10 installed before (and no MSDM). Previously none of my freshly created VM's did get a HWID out of the blue, except a year ago, it happened with Pro Insider Preview only. That's why i do tests with N versions using a local windows account.
I just noticed my latest VM install of 17093 Home on a fresh VM didn't get HWID activated out of the blue
and how can we consider this as a good news ? or maybe it's ironic way to point MCSF for finally finding the flaw
It was getting annoying that i had to do several things to undo the hwid activation to test a kms soiution for example. If we need a HWID we can easily establish it when we want it.
ok so by doing that , does it mean that you won't be able to get HWID anymore after a clean install ?
ok i didn't understand it that way, i thought that you found a way to undo HWID after a clean install when you just uninstall the product key to be able to do other tests.
if some one activate their windows through kms .. and now if he want to clean install win10 and activated through HWID , can this process will activate it ?
can't say but you can verify this hypothesis by yourself using VM as most people do when it comes to do different tests and you'll know this way. It's as simple as that.
Enthousiast: As of today it is still working, although I put another wiped hard drive in to see if it worked. I didn't want to overwrite my other copy and lose my files. Now I'll transfer everything to the new drive. I used Win10 Pro, from a Windows10 all in one disk that I had downloaded previously. Thank You
If the system already has a HWID for the edition installed, it will always work. Test only on a system that doesn't have a HWID for the installed edition before. And it stopped working, as posted a few days ago.
