Maybe the next update is "windows 8.1 spring update 2014". :D
But why the name so long ? windows 8.1.1 or windows 8.1 update 1 is enough.

Update name and build numbers are two different things. Don't mix them together. :)

No, because the delta only refers to the version of the file that is being looked up, in your case HAL.
Same way as BuildLabEx refers to Microsoft-Windows-OS-Kernel only.

The base always remains the delta of the foundation package, not that of any child component.

    I didn't mix them.
you can't separate win 8.1 and win 8.1 update.
win 8.1 update is not new OS (like win 8.1, that have different kernel).

    Does it matter?
Unless you can do something now that you couldn't before, I don't see the point.

Perhaps you want some validation for updating your system?
Yes, having an updated system is much safer than not updating it.

It doesn't matter. but it's like the life - you sometimes want to see things from the past.

applied MICROSOFT.WINDOWS.8.1.2014.UPDATE.X64.ONLY.MSU.9600.17025.WINBLUE_GDR.140214-1706-WZT, all 4 updates in it, then downloaded all the updates in windows update.
