Is there a way to reserve Win 10's without IDENTIFYING the machine?

    Is there a point to reserving ?

    If I update today from Windows 7 using 10240, should I reserve before I update ?

    You can change the UUID for the VM by moving it to a different location. When you open it it will ask if you want to keep the UUID or have a new one.

    Try that.

    Actually it will ask whether it was 'moved' (UUID stays same) or it was 'copied' (new UUID is assigned).

    If you delete and recreate the VM you'd be assigned a new UUID anyway.

    At the moment I can only suggest that you change your IP address and try using VirtualBox instead, just to see what happpens.

    Well, thank you all.

    I'll copy the VM to a different disk, reboot my modem and try again. (no joy)

    In a few days (perhaps after GA release) I'll try again, maybe in VirtualBox, maybe with W8.1.

    Then I'll inform you of the ending of this soap opera.

    honestly the free windows upgrade to windows 10 thing is so confusing im just gonna switch to kms activation with microsoft toolkit

    Most people are upgrading successfully.

    This particular case is confusing, but it must be for a good reason.

    I'm trying now for the third time, changing only one variable. Let's see...

    D & B :) Please share the exact VM version you used for VB & VMWP and the Source ISO of Win7 and version of Daz Loader. Lets see if ReapAt can replicate exactly on a different machine with ALL the tools versions etc.
