Is there any way to "refresh" Windows without having to re-install all your programs?

Nope, neither solution worked, it's still locking up :(

NOT thrilled about having to do a fresh install - SO much stuff to back up and re-install.

I did notice that I thought I had Pro installed (from a version a year back), but the current 508 I have indicates Enterprise. What's the link to the 508 Pro?

    Thanks!

It can be found on the same ISO as you got enterprise from and should have used for the restorehealth command.

When I run setup on the ISO it indicates Enterprise - there is no option to switch to Pro anywhere.

I did notice that I had to correct the permissions on the WindowsApps folder. I noticed the issue when I went to open the Nvidia GeForce Control Panel and got the error.

I get the following error when Windows starts:

Windows cannot open the specified ..... ProgramFiles\WindowsApps\Microsoft.54998103F5F10_2.2009.23741.0x64 .....

and when I try to access the Nvidia Control Panel I get:
    ProgramFiles\WindowsApps\NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.958.0_x64 ....

I have verified both folders exist and I have permissions on them (for both Users & Admin).

No, that would need a reg modification and inplace upgrade to normal enterprise first.

And both cant possibly work . All they do is ...... IF it works is to put a system in the statre it should be after an install ........and it cant see the settings that one has changed .........and the settings that at least some programs have changed ...... so at least some of the settings made after instalation will be ' repaired ' = system cant be trusted = Fresh install ?

Thanks for clarifying. So I'll wait till a new system install is necessary.
