And a legitimate key is WHAT? I activated office 15 on windows 8 pro via my MAK key and when i upgraded to 8.1, its asked me if i wanted to activate over the internet or via phone. So hmmm, not sure of what ur talking about,
OK, it's understood that KMS activation of Windows 8.1 isn't working/available yet. Also, Windows 8.1 cannot KMS activate an Office VL installation which was previously KMS activating under Windows 8 because Office is also using Windows to activate. Assuming it's going to be a while, which is probably a safe bet, is any functionality lost in the VL editions? I can live with it nagging me and telling me it's not activated, if everything still actually works. If some functionality will cease working, I need to logon to my company network and locate my list of valid MAK keys for Office and try to activate with that.
you should probably edit your post and put the key in pastebin.com and allow others to get it via link. (6963 activations left btw) and quoting the key helps nothing lmao

That is because, unlike Office 2013, Office 2010 uses KMS v5 regardless. (Yes - there IS an x64 version of Office 2010 as I crossgraded to x64 with that version; however, you still need the Hotmail/Outlook.com Social Connector to use Outlook 2010 with either Hotmail or Outlook.com accounts.)

I've tried the phone method with at least half a dozen keys already. First retail, then uninstalled it and tried VL. Every time the British lady tells me that I'm a victim of software piracy. Is this because the keys I'm using are too old, or am I doing something wrong?
Download Microsoft Toolkit 2.4.9 and use it to check your keys. If it says that remaining activation count is 0, you can still activate by phone. If it says that activation count is 0 and key is blocked, then try to find another key.
