When I go to disk clean up and go to D drive, the only option is an empty recycle bin.

All the other files to be cleaned cannot be seen.

My D disk space is shrinking and didn't add anything.

(Vista - don't know the version but it was new in 2007)

Tried a disk clean up where you go to command prompt and type in commands, that kept coming up "access denied"

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Also, why is the space shrinking? Once before this happened and I somehow located the back up files and deleted them (I know NOTHing about computers and not sure how I did this). This helped, but the then the D drive is full again.

Back up is turned off I believe.
