Thanks for the response. Now another question... If I use a xml file, do I create one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit or just one and it will install the proper drivers depending on the install. Also do the drivers need to be in cab format or can extracted files from exe (inf files) work. Also how would I integrate msu patches? Not to bug but would you have an example xml file and tell me where to put it. Thanks again.
Now tht's something i would like to know myself. I tested Win7 SP1 v.178 and it does not include .NET 4.0 which is odd if you ask me, considering .NET 4.0 hit RTM several months ago. If SP1 RTM will not include this then i will have to start looking for a way to integrate or slipstream it.
I am unable to run the application. I downloaded and when i try to run the app a black command prompt window opened saying script created with trial version, bla bla bla... and then it gave me error and there's only choice of close. Is there something wrong ?
Sorry to bump an old thread but I wanted to thank the OP for a great application. I tried another one like it and it did not work as advertised.
Has anyone had success running this from XP? I have DISM and Powershell working on XP and the DISMTool will launch, but I cannot mount an image because the target path is interpreted incorrectly and shows an error in Powershell. PS C:\> DISM.exe /Mount-Wim /wimfile:X:\urces\install.wim /index:1 /MountDir:Z:\ Mount Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Error: 2 The system cannot find the file specified. The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log PS C:\> Thanks ...
Yeah not an issue running it under xp. put your Install.wim in the a foilder on the C: Say c:\Update and run your batch command from this also.
System error 71 So i just injected new drivers for Probook 4530s, the OS which the drivers are for are Windows 7 Home premium because their arent any for enterprise, which Im using on the image. But when im using trying to use the command "MapDrive.bat" I get this error message: "System Error 71, No more connections can be made to this remote computer at this time because their are already as many connections as the computer can accept" Ive googled it with no luck
I was following this thread since the beginning b/c I have been having problems with DISM and I saw this and it made me bust a gut laughing! Thanks for the good laugh!! ROFLMFAO!
Hi, I have an image made already, one that I have had in use for a couple of years now. I was trying to use DISM to integrate some packages that were downloaded from the MS catalog site. DISM keeps throwing me an errror 2 or 3 trying to suck in the CABs. I tried extracting the CABS and tried the mps files, but same error. Can I assume by some of the comments in the thread that packages for patching Office are not compatible or do I have something else going on? I upgraded my technician workstation to 64 bit in between my original 32bit build and the recent servicing I've been trying to do. I did have some challenges with that but I was able to sort them out. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thx FreeJAC
Im having some issues adding packages, this is the message I get: "PS C:\> DISM.exe /image:C:\Mount /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\Flash Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Image Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Error: 87 No packages were found that require processing. The DISM log file can be found at C:\windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log PS C:\>" Is there a specific format that the file needs to be for it to be recognized?
And what is C:\Flash ? If it is what Adobe Flash, then you can ONLY add Windows specific packages and NOT anything else you would like sebus
Yes it was Abobe Flash, oh ok, but even with other applications such as MS Office 2010 or Lotus Notes I have the whole install package but it just ends up failing
Oh ok I see. I assmued you could because the ghost image im using at the moment has programs loaded onto it, after ghosting it has 3-4 software programs on it. But your saying there is no way to put software programs on this ghost software?
This isnt a ghost software, its a GUI using DISM to modify a Windows 7 DVD/ISO, thats all. You can only add cert, key, hotfixes and things like that, no software unless you use a seperate setupcomplete.cmd
Oh ok, thanks for the clarification on that. Dont suppose you would know a download link for a program like that?
