This cumulative update installed perfectly on the Main Rig today, 1 was x86 & the other was x64, both v.1607 Now they both are b14393.222 *totally stoked I had no problems as others appear to be having. edit: I installed both of the above using WU.
Try this : 1. Download update (see post #2) 2. dism /online /add-package /packagepath:C:\update\myupdate.cab (adapt to the path of your .cab update file)
now, how can I clean my rig of all the files left by 7 attempts to install it? where are they ? thank you
here is the fix take admin rights, delete the folder C: > Windows > System32 > Tasks > Microsoft > XblGameSave in regedit with admin rights delete this key KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > WindowsNT > CurrentVersion > Schedule > TaskCache > Tree > Microsoft > XblGameSave empty this folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download reboot tested on my W10 pro x64 rig now 1322 is running
Still same problems with this update : download stalling. Solution : download the cab file and install manually. MS knows there is a problem, but the update is still on windows update.
EDIT: Sorry, I was going to post the same fix by MS as above, but I come second. Anyway, it seems to me, the fix should have appeared as a new update that fixes everything, without needing to visit the site, download the fix and follow instructions.
How are the non tech savy people going to know about this patch when it was not sent via Windows Update?
