    I dunno what's wrong with it now. the BIOS recognizes each drive but it will not boot. the only real change is I took out an optical drive and put a different one in. I'll have to think about it. probably something to do with the Dell BIOS. I prefer Intel BIOS.

    so you are using a Dell computer (as you mentioned a dell bios)? if so what kind?

    xps 420 (funny name) might get to it today.
