EDIT: Nevermind, delete this. I wrongly searched for a different KB number and it pointed me to Window 10 download, instead it was just an update for a runtime. This is new. I have Windows Update service and options completely OFF on this PC using Windows 7. It has been quiet for a number of months. Today I noticed that when I shut it down it was updating something. Windows Update is STILL off. If I go check in the Control Panel it shows a red cross, and if I go in the options the one that is selected is "Never check for updates" Yet, if I go look into Installed Updates I can see that today, entirely on its own, KB999226 has been installed! How is this even possible?
