Yep done that, problem is my end, trying to resolve atm. Port is open your end fine, but not mine, have forwarded 1688 through my router but port still not open. Racking my brains to think what I did to resolve this back when all the KMS stuff for Win 8 was going on.
You don't need to open port 1688 on your router for activating your office. If you have a firewall just ensure that the process/service "osppsvc.exe" is not blocked. You may also try this server:smasher.no-ip.org I just activated mine with this one!
its also possible to setup a windows 7 pro kms host to activate office 2013 on win 8.1 ... i just did it in vbox iám testing now but soon i will release tokens and a copy off the server. its nice to make it a usb key version. windows 8 and server 2012 are to big for that
