I am new to this. How do I Install KB2885698 to upgrade the KMS in Server 2012 to V6 in windows 8.1. When I try to install KB2885698 it says "The Update is not applicable to your computer"

    Thanks

Don't know if this is of any interest to you, but I have just activated Win 8.1 and Office 2013 using KMSpico v9 beta.

I was totally gobsmacked - and happy.

All I did was follow the instructions on the MDL KMSpico thread for how to install, and it all happened automatically. I didn't have to choose any server at all.

At first, there was still a watermark about activation, but when I rebooted the machine, the watermark had disappeared.

I then installed Office 2013, rebooted, and checked Office activation, and it was good to go.

Can't believe it was so easy. Thanks to Heldi.

The activation watermark appeared because it swapped out the windows product key that was installed I think. I had noticed in my machine the watermark yesterday because there was no available server at the time I guess and it gave that error code, my installation is legit so, I really have no plans on having that tinkered with if I can avoid it. Just use due dilligence if your OS is using a product key you purchased
