I am a bit lost here. I got the latest genuine(!) Win 8.1. on my machine. I would like to activate a 'second hand version' of Office 2010 or 2013 (doesn't matter which one as long as it works) and remove the annoying activation pop-up. If I use the KMS tool for this purpose, will it tamper with the already genuine Win 8.1. or only do it's magic with the Office package? What about other problems/issues that are known and could arise which a newbie to this wouldn't be aware of? Any elaboration on that part? Thanks for all answers.
nub here Just got a Windows Surface tablet Does anybody have the time of day to PM me and hold me hand to help me crack Office? The posts in this thread are quite confusing - need more explaining thanks
Actually, I would be interested in seeing the info too, perhaps if someone can help you if you do not mind, do it in public
Microsoft Toolkit 2.5 Beta5 is here for activating Office 2013 on Win8.1 forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/28669-Microsoft-Toolkit-Official-KMS-Solution-for-Microsoft-Products Tested, working!!
Hey all I'm using windows 8.1 and I want to activate my office 2013 since the evaluation period is finished and now it won't let me use any office applications but when I try to activate it using KMSpico I have an error message titled "Not Supported by KMS" and it says: Office 15, OfficeO365HomePremR_SubTrial5 edition: is Evaluation Version. You must upgrade to Full Version I need it to be activated asap but I don't know what to do. Any help on this?
Ok hi guys, I'm new and super lost. I bought a new laptop and it has come with a pre-installed genuine version of windows 8.1 so there's no chance of me updating from 8 to 8.1 But since the topic says "KMS activate office on windows 8.1" I followed the steps. I tried "cd\Program Files(86x)\Microsoft Office\Office 15 and pressed enter after that on command prompt (running as administrator) But I get an error saying 'The system cannot find the path specified' From what I understand (which is very little) I don't have this KMS thing on my laptop? And trying to download that KB______ thing says that it isn't for my system. I have no idea what's going on anymore and I need to activate my office asap. BTW the office version on my laptop is apparently Office 365? Please advise. Thanks.
Hi Tito, Really appreciate your speedy response. Before I get lost in those two threads and the instructions; just wanted to let you know my genuine windows 8.1 is a single language if that matters at all? The trial is not over, because I haven't started it yet. I messed around so much I ended up uninstalling my genuine 8.1 and had to use recovery about 3 times to come back and start fresh. So now I'll just be removing Office entirely, and follow the instructions given on the other thread. Thanks a ton, Natasha
Make sure you installed the Office VOL version, use any KMS tool available in MDL, it will take care of key.
The original owner probably installed it himself and activate with KMS, if you don't feel comfortable with it, simply download Office2013+SP1(make sure it is the VOL edition) , remove the old one, then install and activate with any current KMS tool, presently you could login with your MS account without problem, don't know if MS would change policy in the future.
