I'm trying to run KMS_VL 6.0.3 and even KMS_VL 6.0.6 and both versions when I try to run the file as admin I receive an error: "Error installing TAP adapter".

    How do I resolve this?

Run "Remove_Tap-Adapter" as admin, then reboot
after reboot go to "Network and sharing center" or device manager, if you see any TAP adapters, run Remove_Tap-Adapter again and reboot
    finally, run KMS_VL_ALL or KMS_VL_ALL_verbose

    Hi.

I am new here. Have read the past few pages of this thread.

But i am still not sure which activation for Windows 8.1 pro is the best now?
I read there are a two option.
    1. kmsDashboard V.2.0.2
    2. KMS VL All - Smart activation script.

Or is there more option or the above 2 is the best?

    Thank you.

i don't use kmsdashboard, but i used KMS_VL_ALL by abbodi1406 and it work flawlessly, u can adjust the activation renewal by urself.

    Hi Nucleus

Thank you for the information. To be true. I dont really understand the 'term' inside there. ha.

Looking using the KMS_VL_ALL option is the recommended.
With the link. Which should i download and install?
    1. KMS_VL_ALL_6.2.0 (DLL Injection Bypass) - File name: KMS_VL_ALL-SECOInjectorV23
    2. SppExtComObjPatcher-KMS.Server.Service - File name: KMS_VL_ALL-SppExtComObjPatcher
    3. KMS.Server.Service.v6 - File name: KMS.Server.Service.v6

Are they all the same? And which one is the latest version to use? Or all have to use?

Is there a guide for dummy on what file is needed for using KMS_VL_ALL solution?

    Thank you.

I second zwaan123 response. Very easy to use (KMSDashboard v2.0.2). I myself tested and it worked out flawless.

Sorry I hadn't realised abbodi had updated KMS_VL_ALL with the new bypass methods. Without getting into long detailed explanations of the various bypass methods (it would take ages and is all documented in various posts), you may want to go for KMS_VL_ALL_6.2.0 (DLL Injection Bypass). UnRAR the download and you get a KMS_VL_ALL_6.2.0 folder, for a one off activation right-click and run 1-KMS_VL_ALL.cmd and abbodis' magic will happen.

I just followed zwaan123 instructions. Put the $oem$ folder in sources of the windows image. I installed the image in hyper-v, but I guess any program for visualization would do. Last thing to do is to create autostart of "start.cmd". That is so the the kms server starts at boot.

You can make a reg key in
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    to do that.

ksss/zwaan123 - Thanks to your reply. I will follow the instructions and do the needful. Will incorporate reg key as well for auto start.

Will test out on hyper-v machine.

Regkey is a good solution, not sure why I didn't thought about it :)
I used the scheduler for it. So that is another solution.

I dont know so much about the activation so another question for zwaan123: As stated before, I use as a kms server for other clients, so re-activation, will that work automatic, or do I need to re-activate the clients manually?

I don't use that package, but as it's portable, there certainly is no scheduled task. Portable is meant to not leave any traces on systems. Try to use a non-portable package instead or create the task in Task Scheduler yourself.
