Hey guys, So i activated for 180 days however i have a real WMC cd key and every time i try to add features to windows it says "you can't add features to this edition of windows" Anybody know a solution to this i just want to install my wmc key for it to be permanent. Before activation it lets me add the features but then it says i need to activate first before adding it...
That's right paste the folder in your sources folder on your instal disk and your good to go, it does nork on a already installed system it's only for a install disk
zwaan123 - So what you are telling is, if, i copy oem folder into source folder after mounting windows 8.1 ISO or Windows Server 2012 R2 ISO and then saving the ISO with a different name - i don't have to run KMS dashboard anymore. All OS installed from the new ISO image will be pre-activated? Right????
Hi, i have been glad to use the KMS Dashboard for the other computers in my LAN. but i see a bug i think. i tested it in version 2.0.3 and 2.0.4, when im going to activate my 2012R2 where the KMS Dashboard is running, it fails when i click activate in the dashboard, and when im trying to do a slmgr -ato, it cannot find the specified file. I have not tried to install it on a windows 8.1 Thank you for a perfect tool
8.1 Preview to 8.1 Pro Learnt a few things now - Firstly, do not use 8 in an enterprise environment. Stick to 7. Dont have 7, then get it. Upgrading from 8.1 Preview means losing your programs if you use the ISO - Since I have 3 machines with 8 - all licensed. Activation issues when going from Preview to final since I had 8 Core. Since the stupid installer refused to budge without a key, gave the 8.1 Pro key and upgraded to 8.1 RTM. Activated with KMSPico since I have to now spend a few hours re installing all the stuff, Microsoft so graciously removed, even the laptop battery care software. Thanks for the Pico thing - was not sure it would activate since no change in System Properties, but a reboot showed that it was activated.
Best to never use a preview if you have a licensed pc! and if you do, make a back up of your activation files! and if you dont like Installing software all the time think of making a unattended install disk with all your favorite software on it?
Thanks for this neat tool ... with constant improvement. To use for localhost activation: - Run 'KmsDashboard.exe' - Select 'Start Emulator' - Select 'Activate' - Select 'Close' Is this correct ? Notice that there are 2 deactivation command buttons: Windows, Office But only 1 activation command. Any particular reason why the latter is not separated into 2 buttons (Windows, Office) ??
That's correct! and the reason is that the program detects it self if something is permanent activated so that's why one activate button.
Re KmsDashboard : If possible, could you indicate if the service and/or emulator is already running (or not) ? One doubt : If the user has installed a firewall, what does he need to do ? Thanks, nice convinient prog.
I can look in to that, but if the service is installed its running and for the firewall you don't have to do anything if it's windows firewall
OK, it would be more 'user friendly' thats all. For eg, if the service is already running the only option should be "Stop service" and the other way round. What if the user has a 3rd party firewall ? I'm only interested in activation of one PC where Dashboard is run from.
