I reckon that after this release, it will be released dozens of new KMS emulators, with new features and eased functionality
Noop. First of all, its not an emulator but a VM of KMS server. It only allows Pro/Enterprise (both regular & N editions).
Non exactly. KMS Server = Regular KMS license capable OS + KMS key to enable the ability to give appropriate response to KMS client OS. KMS Emulator = Comparatively small (but too much complicated) piece of code that can give appropriate response to KMS client OS.
Sooner or later. M$ block this, devs workaround, M$ blocks that, devs workaround yet again... It's never gonna end.
It is equipped with Volume_KMS_W8.1 Channel KMS:CSVLK which can activate only Windows client editions, not Servers.
That brings us the genius of CODYQX4, who was able to crack the code and making it possible on Windows 8, on such a small code
Question Confused I´m a little confused most probably i´m a noob... So... To active Win 8.1 Pro i need to use KMSpico Beta or command line? If is KMSpico where is the last version to download? If is command line what i do?
Some additional details about Ratiborus's VM: As many have noted, it's a Windows 7 Professional VM with a Windows 8.1 KMS host product key. To get to a Command Prompt inside the VM, type the (unlisted) command "cmd" without the quotes at the menu prompt. The command line used to launch qemu: Code: qemu-system-x86_64.exe -vga cirrus -serial none -parallel none -display sdl -smbios type=1,manufacturer=Intel,version=1.01234,uuid=564d81c6-cd3a-d8e4-db29-756df139acb9 -uuid 564d81c6-cd3a-d8e4-db29-756df139acb9 -m 256 -localtime -hda Bios\KMSmicro.rom -name "KMSmicro Console TAP" -M pc -L Bios -net nic,macaddr=00:11:22:33:44:03,vlan=0 -net "tap,vlan=0,ifname=tap1" -rtc base=localtime, clock=host -nodefconfig -no-user-config -no-hpet -no-fd-bootchk -no-quit This suggests: * Hardware UUID: 564d81c6-cd3a-d8e4-db29-756df139acb9 * MAC address: 001122334403 The format of the harddisk image (KMSmicro.rom) is qcow2. Note about the UUID: different virtualization products mangle the UUID differently inside the VM. You may have to reverse the order of some of the digits if you want to recreate this VM in a product other than QEmu.
That is Alpha version. For something as important as compression software, I won't install an Alpha version.
only labelled "alpha" I have been using it without fail since it was released. your choice .... now back on topic
