One thing I would check is that you didn't accidentally install PRO/VL with WMC. I did this and had the "Cannot find KMS server" error before realizing my mistake. Installed PRO/VL and worked the first try.
Everything works just fine activated windows 8.1 ent & Office 2013. Is it possible to make it public so friends can activate through it over the internet. Cheers and thanks
Remember the time sync, I did not do it and failed. Then I time sync to me Kangaroo region and it worked.
I just created a VM in Hyper V WIN 2012 R 2 initially activated with KMS Pico 9. This VM runs WIN 8.1 and tried to activate with Ratiborous KMS 5............... it worked well !!!!!!!!!
Virtualbox Windows 8.1 Pro machine initially activated with KMS Pico 9 few days ago, tested KMS 5.0 by Ratiborous. Changed Russian Time Zone to the local one. Installed tap1 LAN interface. slmgr -skms KMSMICRO-PC:1688 slmgr -ato KMS Activation countdown has been reset to 180 days again. 1 Note: On the virtual machine the KMS 5.0 sometimes seems to freeze, just wait for screen refreshing (be patient).

Hey I'm using KMSmicro.5.0.0.Win8.1.O2013.VM.Activator-M78 , I done all steps brige the network ajust the time from consol, but when I try to activate I recive : Key Management Service machine name set to KMSMICRO-PC:1688 successfully. Activating Windows(R), Professional edition (c06b6981-d7fd-4a35-b7b4-054742b7af67) ... Error: 0xC004F074 The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.
