Excellent troubleshooting rrohela! Take note of this everyone. We will definitely run into this issue on the forum for a while.
In fact it is mentioned in the ReadMe file that comes with the emulator: "For a successful KMS-activation is important that the time on the computer and on-activatedKMS-server differed by no more than ± 1.5 hours"
Tito, I think this topic (troubleshooting KMSmicro) deserves its own thread, should it be started as a new thread?
I read in a PCBeta post and think it's quite interesting: When trying to use KMSmicro, first pull the web line, 1. Then you don't need to set nettime nor time-zone - my guess is since KMSmicro cannot validdate real Moscow time, then it simply adopts BIOS time as current time. 2. And no need to make the bridging, KMSmicro will search for a host, and will find tap1 in VPN. Also, as a reminder, the host will reset to zero clients every 30 days, there's a setting in the virtual machine "change client count". You will need to change it to over 25 machines after 30 days.
nice on the time, haven't looked at that, but have been offline for every test lol. I haven't done the bridge a single time with my tests either
The thing about the reset every 30 days, thats if no new clients have tried to activate from it, right? Like for a server that online and open to the public, they wont have to worry about that, right? I mean I get about 1500 to 2000 requests a day, or (lots) more. That should keep it alive then, ya? (sorry first time using KMSpico as my main server, thats why I am waiting for a full KMS VM image)
when i boot kmsmicro it recharges itself automatic (doing only 1 request for each win, o2010, o2013 because it is charged now) EDIT: afaik there is no 30 day RESET but the clients count expires one by one (in the order as the clients have activated/requested 30 days ago)
I ran net time but I got "no responce from any server"...anyway I managed to activate succesfully Windows Enterprise x64 until 30/4/2014... KMS stats show a "grace period" of "155" and a remaining rearm count of "3" Does this mean that I can only activate the system for 3 times more? Did I do something wrong?
What? Did you mean that you advanced the date & then xpr days left to 175-176 & then you used MTK & then it renewed it to 180?
This requires further investigation. I'll be checking tonight when I get home from work. I also think this deserves more investigation from the coders here at MDL such as Cody et al.
KMSmicro 5.0.1 coming soon: Code: Changes in version 5.0.1 • Added the ability to specify the installation of Office.
Oh ok, it says "licensed" / expiration (180 days) / rearm count "999" I guess it's ok...thanks! Do I have to do anything else? I will leave the bridged connections and TAP installed. Will I have to activate it again with the same way after 180 days? What happens if I forget to activate it? Can I do it after the 180th day?
