    Just a matter in fact Ratiborus has a key that we do not have, to make our own activation virtual server.
    And that's why we run behind him.

    Yep, this is definitely a slow chugging start :drink:. But a start it is and offline is a good jump.

    Thanks a lot Lacius for those clear answers !

    One last thing, I read that some people managed to use the "Activate by phone" procedure. It seems that with this method you don't need to reactivate every 180 days. Is that true ?
    This method use genuine leaked MAK keys until they're exhausted, right ? Is it easy to find some ? I remember with Windows XP we had an utility that was generating usable keys :cool:.

    True but not reliable. M$ quickly blacklists any such keys and most/all of the computers using those keys to activate. KMS still remains the most fail-safe technique (not for them, obviously :D).

    (KMSMICRO 5_0_1)it can activate my office 2013 but it can't active 2012r2dc.o_O

    it always gives me an error code : 0xC004F074 (The Software Licensing Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. ):mad:

    KMSMICRO 5.0.1 will not activate 2012R2 server (yet), just up to windows 8.1..

    From the ReadME_EN.txt:
    Code:
     The local KMS server to activate Windows 7 - 8.1, Office 2010-2013 VL editions    │
│               This program does not activate Retail editions.

    Try KMSpico(OP has link to heldigard's thread), it will search on-line for KMS host, if avialable, it will activate your R2. :D

    As Faikee commented, you need to use the KMS Pico 9.xxx. That is the one I used yesterday and got my server going for the next 6 months...........................after that, I hope that something (Harry Potter ?) will happen...........:D

    Hi guys

    Able to activate windows 8.1 pro with kmsmicro..... but windows update no longer working ... help !

    Windows update should have nothing to do with activation, maybe a separate issue.

    Try uninstalling TAP, and make sure your actually online but like EFA11 said KMSMicro should have nothing to do with updates

    Windows update does work, also when TAP is installed.

    Twinhead's updating problem is, IMHO, not caused by KMSmicro.

    Huh?:confused: I think KMSMicro has nothing to do with this problem. But I have to check it with mine later.
