No problem, everyone of us go through the same process of learning. But don't forget to press the thanks button if you find useful anyone posts.
There you go, you got a thanks from me. Also I didn't click the "Backup Tokens" button, will it harm anything because I didn't backup it?
Actually, I prefer burgundy myself. I always thought rouge to be a bit too bright. Although, I do like a nice sky blue… *rouge = red, “those are some nice rouge draperies” *rogue = not controlled, “a rogue agent”
that's all a matter of taste, isn't it? (seams a typo went into the post but thanks for pointing to a mistake which an old man accidentally made. Hope you make none of these ... lol)
It's been mentioned here and in other places: KMS V6 returns an error if you connect thru local IP 127****, so if you wish to run the modified version(i.e. without TAP) in local machine, you need either connect thru router or virtual net card.
I'm new on this thread but I want to know if after the whole process, it's possible to reset the timezone and disconnect the bridged lan or can cause problem whit the activation. Thanks
Dear Miho171, Are you talking about KMSmicro? If so,then you can reset the time zone and disconnect the bridged lan and No problem to your activation. Regards, Manu
Thanks, last question: I have to set timezone like the tutorial said (go to kms console and press "T" to run nettime adjust) or simply can I change it in my OS?
I have windows 8 Pro 64-bit activated and installed on a MacBook Air, which is dual booting (the other OS being OS X Mavericks). The win8 Pro was activated via KMS activation and expires in May 2014. The win 8 pro has been egging me to upgrade to the new edition ie win 8.1. could I do so by allowing win 8 to auto update from Mirrosoft server? If that is possible, would the win8.1 pro installed be deactivated or remain activated? The other option of course is to download from win8.1 repository on MDL forum. But in this case, i would have to do a clean install by wiping the win 8 pro partition and installing win 8.1 pro as if it is the first time. Is this correct based on a sampling of threads I have read on MDL so far? Is there any way to avoid a clean install and just do an upgrade from the iso found on MDL, whilst still ensuring the upgraded 8.1 pro will remain activated. Appreciate useful feedback.
Dear Miho171, I have tested the KMSmicro 5.01 in a pc that's not connected to internet. After installing the os (without internet connection) I set the time zone to mine in the os. I just ran the KMSmicro 5.01 and installed the tap and renamed it to "tap1" and bridged the connection. I clicked "Activate Windows" and got activated If you are connected to internet then type "t" to adjust the time. Regards Manu
Dear ibiza10, If you have activated Windows 8 Pro 64-bit with KMS activation, after upgrading to Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit using the iso you will be deactivated. As told in the forum Windows 8.1 uses ip v6 kms for activation. So you have to activate it with KMSpico or KMSmicro. The best option is to do a clean install after backing up all your personal files and activate with KMSpico or KMSmicro. With online upgrade also, I think the activation status will be same. Because, I have not tested. But, upgrade notification for KMS activated Windows 8 Pro? Regards, Manu.
Hi did the KMSpico on 8.1 all good, but I then took the date 6 months forward and it did not auto activate unlike in 8 so I take that you have to rearm? Can someone please confirm, thanks again guys
Dear Supaduper, KMSpico uses online servers (as of now for Windows 8.1), which activates for 180 days (6 months). After 179th day if you want to get your windows activated you need to run the KMSpico again. In windows 8, kms activation done with ip v4 and done in offline against the emulator in the KMSpico which runs in every scheduled time and keep the windows 8 activated.(To my knowledge in every day ). So if you change the date in bios, the service that runs along with the windows boot will detect the windows activation status and get activated offline. But this is not possible ( as of now) for windows 8.1 as it uses ip v6. As soon as new MTK or pico which supports windows 8.1 offline activation releases, this could be possible in windows 8.1 too. KMSmicro uses offline servers to activate windows 8.1. But I don't think it has an ability to auto activate after 180 days. If so,somebody clarify me. That's all from me. Hope you find the above helpful. Regards, manu
