Whoa. Two days I go off-grid and this forum nearly doubles in size.

I activated with KMSmicro first, and subsequently was able to reactivate Win 8.1 with MTK. But Office refused to activate. Not sure how or why it worked, but it did work.

Same as pretty much anything that uses KMS. KMS activations are always valid for 180 days only.

Anything that can be used without the need for an online KMS server is, in my definition, a "proper activation method". This works for editions that support VL. No, it does not include Core.

M$ make it tough, the geniuses at MDL make it tougher for M$. It's a never-ending cycle.

This is what I did, give it a go:
1. Install KMSmicro from OP
2. Follow every instruction properly
3. Get activated Windows

That's it.

 

I seem to have missed a lot, indeed. Will try out this newfangled stuff (using a Win7 device till tomorrow, so not today) and let y'all know how it goes.

Ok, so which are the ones that include Server 2012r2, random KMSpid and can be port FWD'ed so it can be public?

i already made a "smart" script to install-configure/uninstall deagles service with one click
but it uses static ePID's

Guys I'm going around in circles here trying to find ColdZero's Activation Helper GUI. I've scoured the OP in the KMS HowTo thread but can't find it. Someone post a link plz if you know where it is. TIA

I've got Product Activation Failed when I tried this script to activate Windows 8.1 Pro VL & Office 2013 VL which are already activated using abbodi1406's KMS VL ALL.

Murphy78, nice to hear you're working on "$oem$ stuff". So how are you gonna do that? The first activation during setup can probably be done by installing TAP, activating, removing TAP, but how are you going to tackle re-activation (say, every 30 days or so)? Isn't re-activation kinda impossible to do "in the background" now?. Or will you do only the initial activation?

Could be a lingering registry key or perhaps a failed attempt to start the kms server.
Did any error messages pop up? because it's literally the same script, only a different kmsserver exe

I think you will always have UAC popping up as long as you are attempting to install a driver.
