Hi everyone, I have a quick question (I did have a read through but couldn't see anything) - I bought a new laptop, obviously with win8 already on it, and I am now wanting to put the kms activated office 13 on. However, I have heard that there's a possibility that the kms will interfere with my win8 key. Is this true, and if so is there a way round it? Thanks.
What you heard is wrong, if you use MTK or KMSpico as they won't touch your Win8, if it is permanently activated.
Just had another look, the version I've got says Office 13 64bit final MLF-X18-55297, includes KMSmicro v3.10 ?
That version is rather old. Get a new version of it from first link in my signature, or get Microsoft Toolkit, link is in my sig likewise.
Ok will do. So once I get that version and follow the how-to on the process of activating it, it definitely won't mess up the key in my factory supplied install of win8? Thank you very much for your help.
KMSpico versions by heldigard will skip Retail activated Windows for shure. Afaik MTK will do likewise. In case of doubt you can install AutoKMS by "hand" in MTK and then activate, instead of using EZ Activator Mode.
Interesting.. just watched a youtube vid of someone showing how to activate office by using a MAK key he gives you, disconnecting from the net and using the phone activation service. Does that really work? Or is there a catch?
The catch is you're using a stolen key and announcing that fact to Microsoft. As said, it will get blocked and you have to be paranoid about updates. It's crap.
Ok thanks for the advice, I will use KMS method. Is there a good tutorial with a step by step guide that I could follow? My only concern is my machine came with genuine win8 and I don't wish its key to get messed up by the kms when used for office. I have looked at a howto suggested to me after my last post but it looked quite complex! Is it possible I could be helped to find the easiest approach?
If you want it that quick and dirty, use KMSpico 4.2 by heldigard from download section of first link in my signature. It will skip Retail Windows and only activate Office. Install the setup version and it will activate Office automatically after install and schedule a task to reactivate.
Ok thanks. Just out of interest what makes you say down and dirty? Is that not the method you would prefer to use personally?
Using MTK myself, as i don´t like the installer way heldigard went at least. But nevertheless his tool is the easiest way .
Im still using KMSMicro 3.0. Anything changed lol! ok stupid question, more to the point, if it works are there advantages to the newer versions? -edit- oh yeah MTK does office now hey! man, Im pathetic!
Ok that made me jump. Installed KMSpico, it disappeared after install and then it started talking!! Said something about transferring and then program finished?
When it stops talking it should be ready . Check Office status in admin CMD with: Code: cscript "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /dstatus or for Office x86 on Win x64: Code: cscript "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office15\ospp.vbs" /dstatus
lmao AutoKMS, I knew MTK was available for it and didn't use it. Works great, just had to make an exception, defender see's it as a trojan
