That entery is only for cache counts but total number of request(different categories ) will keep going up with every fake request.... @abhi8404 Activation thresh hold is for clients is 25 & 5 for servers....If agreement is for 1000 or more its upto you how many to use.......
For someone that seemingly has access to a KMS host key, you know incredibly little about how KMS works. You really should start reading some official documentation from Microsoft. Not to mention that as a legitimate customer with technical questions, you should contact their volume licensing technical support, you will get much quicker and professional help. As for your question: your setup will work fine. What your license agreement says does not matter from a practical point of view. The KMS server will activate an unlimited number of computers, it does not know about the limit in your license agreement. The significance of the limit in the license agreement is that if your organization ever gets audited by Microsoft, and it's found to have activated more systems than the limit in the agreement, then it would get into trouble. However, it sounds like what you are trying to do is already in breach of the agreement (using the KMS host key at home, faking client count etc.).
Thanks everyone. how are others in this forum are using KMS host keys and setting up KMS server ? i understood and got an idea on this setup. only thing which i am still confused is if i use KMS client emulator and fake 25 requests this means will it requests for 25 fake activations ? or just requests will go through ?. what i am planning to do is i have around 12 pcs ( which has windows 8, 8.1, office 2010, 2013, windows 7 etc) where i will install windows server and setup KMS server. After this i will run that KMS client emulator and get the threshold value to 25 count. Then i will start activating my 10 pcs ( this means will KMS server gets requests only upto 10 or 35 ?) after 1 month or 2 again i will run the KMS emulator and will activate my other pcs ( 10). After 1 month will my KMS server thinks that i have activated 35 + 25 = 60 pcs or just 10 pcs ? Since i am activating only 10 to 15 pcs in my home, i dont think so Microsoft bothers about it, but if the activation count goes high due to KMS emulator then i need to re think
DOn't think too much you can cheat the count... Install it under Virtual machine & after activation take a snap shot, so after every month first revert to snapshot before activation... that way count will never go above 25+"your PCs" ....
this is good idea of installing it in VM and reverting the snapshot before every activation. is there any trick so that i can install KMS server in a dedicated machine ?
All this complication is unnecessary. Microsoft does not receive a detailed report from the KMS server about how many clients it activated. It doesn't matter what the count on the KMS server is. The KMS server, once itself is activated online, can even be disconnected from the Internet for all eternity. You are overthinking the situation.
