I have no desire personally to make a public KMS but I am 100% for PPL sharing the information which is what MDL is about
If users choose to make a public server then its up to them, most only want to know they can make it public if they want and wont even leave open to the public its all about obtaining the know how
So kindly keep you red face to yourself

Yep, some only want it simple. Fortunately here are a lot of guys, who want to know how it is working. Most of them have retail activated systems (sponsoring by MS ) since a while. We do it for education too .
So we can provide solutions for both.

If I may add a little advice, do not use the default 1688 port on your KMS server if it is open to the world wide web, people out there are scanning for open 1688 ports, and when they find them, they are publishing them on forums.

only use port 1688 if you want to run a public KMS Host which is open to everyone,on the other hand if you want to set a public KMS server which is only open to people you know, you better assign a different port, and let the people you want to access your KMS server over the internet, know your new port number.

 

No need to do this...simply start by double clicking 1-0-KMSmicro.cmd and activate with usual commands in elevated CMD.

 

This is a great new version but all versions max out my cpu. Is there a way to limit the cpu usage?

that's i want to know which cmd... my pc's cmd or qemu's cmd ?

 

#1. For me it was not needed, started it from within the folder, do not start as admin simply by double clicking (should do the job).

#2. see #1. . only timesync has to be done within quemu. Rest in your physical machine.

 

here you go:


1 - extract KMSmicro to the desktop of the computer you want to activate, open KMSmicro folder, double click on file: 1-0-KMSmicro.cmd, and wait... wait some more... then... wait even more (now is a good time to remember that you needed to go to the toilet two hours ago )

2 - after you have had 2.6 children, and after having worked for 20 years to send them to college, then watch them leave home, to only hear from them over Christmas, you should have your server up and running (when you see: Select Option: message then your server is ready for use), leave the KMSmicro server open and running.

3 - use Ctrl + Alt on your keyboard to regain focus of your mouse pointer, on the computer you want to activate run command as administrator, type in the command prompt:

slmgr /skms 127.0.0.1

press enter on your keyboard, wait for a pop up message that tells you that 127.0.0.1 has been set as your KMS server.

now type in the same command prompt:

slmgr /ato

press enter on your keyboard, wait for a pop up that tells you you are activated.


4 - go back to your KMSmicro window and type: S then press enter to shut the KMS server down.

and, of course, it doesn't activate...

running on real win7 pro 64 (giving 1024 mb ram for qemu)

rechecked this, only happens when starting with "1-1-KMSmicro - Alternative.cmd"

 

I´m even downloading it, will then try to reconstruct this in win 7 x64 in vm, let´s have a look what happens....
