first you said "Just delete those lines (see below) under running VM no need to unpack it." then you said "Change to this:" what to do remove those red lines or replace those lines ?
Did only the assembly of this tutorial. You have to replace the lines. Will change the tut now. Edited tutorial for better understanding. If there are more obscurities please point me at.
my experiment failed the positive point is after i replace those red lines with new red lines, qemu is opening without internet connection. but my pc's activation failed when i put slmgr /skms 127.0.0.1 and slmgr /ato it says KMS could not be contacted ????
yeah! after changing lines i shutdown qemu and start again it shows ("Server Time" above the options) exactly same time as in my pc. BTW by syncing time you mean goto Z then Z and type your Time Zone Name ? Right ?
Same problem after time Sync "T" maybe the problem is here because i didn't do anything about "Check the network connection using google DNS server:" if so then what and how to do this ?
Did try to sync before or after altering the config.cmd. You have to do before, then change the lines, as described in tutorial.
i did that after changing lines... that's why it cause a problem. i messed up things so i guess i will have start from zero again. thanks for the help
It is easy to have a complete offline solution... After delete the NETTIME.exe calls in the VM, choose the options: - Z) Set Time - Z) Set Time Zone Enter UTC And then: - S) Shutdown Now, in "1-0-KMSmicro.cmd", change the line -rtc base=localtime, clock=host ^ by -rtc base=utc, clock=host ^ That's all.
@craftbrewer you might want to update the instructions provided in the first post to: 1 - extract KMSmicro to the desktop of the computer you want to activate, open KMSmicro folder, then: a - if running KMS Host on a 64 bit system double click on: 1-0-KMSmicro.cmd b - if running KMS Host on a 32 bit system double click on: 1-1-KMSmicro - Alternative.cmd c - if option (a) above does not work for you on a 64 bit system, double click on: 1-2-KMSmicro - Alternative.cmd Now you have to wait... and wait... and wait even more (give it a good 5 minutes). 2 - Once you see: Select Option message appearing in the bottom of your KMS Host window, your server is ready for use, leave the KMSmicro server open and running (in other words don't touch it). 3 - Use Ctrl + Alt on your keyboard to regain focus of your mouse pointer, on the computer you want to activate run command prompt as administrator (easiest way to do this is to right click your task bar-> Task Manager-> bottom left of task manager window, choose: more details, now go to file menu in task manager-> run new task-> type: cmd, tick the box that says: Create this task with administrative privileges), in the command prompt window that opens type: slmgr /skms 127.0.0.1 press enter on your keyboard, wait for a pop up message that tells you that 127.0.0.1 has been set as your KMS server. now type in the same command prompt window: slmgr /ato press enter on your keyboard, wait for a pop up that says: you are activated. 4 - go back to your KMSmicro window and type: S then press enter to shut the KMS server down. also you might want to incorporate the instructions for a complete offline solution, provided by s1ave77 and vampire7.
Waiting for confirmation by others here, that the method by vampire7 will work. No mood to test today.
Done I sometimes get lazy and assume people know all things about computers. Any instructions that dont make it too bloated, BUT simple I will put in. As for an ofline solution. Yes waiting on testing, BUT I still have to word it in basic language and instructions ALL WILL UNDERSTAND Happy to update fist post as needed, keep suggestions coming
So should i wait for another version which includes offline solution and office 2010 activation? Currently having KMSmicro v7
just tested this for fun and it works perfectly!! brilliant! I put the whole KMSmicro folder in c:\ - edited the 1-KMSmicro.cmd line: cd qemu to cd c:\KMSmicro\qemu (got error unable to find qemu) synchronize time and done!
Currently newer versions are getting the size smaller, and helping computer noobs activate easier. So there will always be new versions. If you version works, happy with it size, no need to get a better version. Now if one comes out that does Office 2013, thats different
