Hello again! Just did the July update and wanted to do what I did the last few updates as described before. But this time it does not work anymore. I have attached a screenshot. At first when I did the uninstall and then dse off... a blue screen came up. After reboot I tried again and it stays at try... attached it a screen shot. Is there a new version of that kvc out or can (must) I use something totally different now? I appreciate your input again ;-) What I also realized, after uninatalling the update, making kvc work again byt those simple steps and then again trying to use kvc after the second update try... and again it did not work, was, that usually after an update the kvc.exe connects to the internet to download an updated file... but it does not do that anymore.
Well, could not fix this by myself with the procedures as before. So I uninstalled that July Win10 update and then the kvc install worked again. It did also not connect to the MS servers. But I gues because the symbols were already there from before. So for now, I can say the kvc did not work with the latest update because it did not connect to download the latest symbols for that ms version. Perhaps you find the time to look into this. I will appreciate it and thank you in advance. Regards,
Now on another try... I used your latest kvc on from your website. Saw that its now on purpose NOT connecting anymore. Well, so no wonder.. but also found that you mention to: kvc install -driver- --pdb but this command also did not work with me. It is just not connecting to the MS servers to download the newest patches. So its all a no-go so far. I would really appreciate your input and help. Thank you again.
Hi, I'll be back from vacation on Sunday and I'll help you. Delete any old pdb files as well, including those in c:\windows if there are any, and mpdb.
Hello again! And when you're back you can see: I FIXED IT. Your hint of deleting the pdb files was it. After I deleted those folders with the files from the previous actions, the kvc downloaded again the newest ones and it worked! As per my previous successful explanation in case somebody else runs into this, I just have to add: before anything, delete the pbd files/folders for it. Then the procedure works again. HOWEVER, its important to mention also: This is for the Windows 10 1809 Enterprise LTSC Version and its updates! And furthermore, ONLY those previous/older KVC worked for me! Those latest versions you have on your site, messed it up actually. So that 'test drive' I used for it, was somewhat messed up with showing bootscreen even thou it was set Off. But then I started over again with a clean close hdd and did NOT use any newer kvc version.... and that worked perfect as before !!! So again, thank you for your work!!! Hope you had a great vacation ;-)
