I forgot to mention that the dism log in c:\windows\logs\DISM is readable. Only the dism.log created by the KUC cmd files using /loglevel:2

With IE10 and the many changes that MS recently released Komm will have his hands full with his next release :worthy:

New KUC with IE10 support nearly ready.
And I did my exam very vell. So now one month with more time for KUC.
I also found a lot of small issures.
Also note with the new Plattform my Visual Studio 2010 does not work any more.
Also included with IE10 support will be a check of IE10 pre-request updates.
KUC will not install IE10, if any of the pre-request updates are missing.
Note this pre-request updates are not the same as in the MS KB.
With the installation of IE10, KUC also installes the LPs for IE10 for all installed WIN7 languages.
I will finish the new version during the day.

Yes, congrats for the exam and thanks so much for the new KUC

I installed IE10 with the .cab (no pre-request installed)
    KUC will work correctly?

    Thanks

    Hi Komm
    regarding KB2780130 & KB2780102 in Win7
    KB2780130 Normal version: 6.1.7601.22150
    whereas
    KB2780102 Normal version: 6.1.7601.17989 - and LDR version: 6.1.7601.22150

so shouldn't KB2780130 supersede KB2780102 and not the opposite? :D

Yes, you are totally right. If I had followed the rules.

But this time I just want to save one update, since 2780102 is out since 2012-12-12.
I saw no reason why a user should uninstall 2780102 and install 2780130 (came out 2013-02-05) and got nothing changed.
Also the zip file of 2780102 is dated 2012-11-05 and 2780130 has date 2012-11-04.

That's just an explanation, but yes you are right.
2780130 has the higher kb# so this one should have been used.

I have an interesting question for you:
2794599 for Win8 has GDR version 6.2.9200.16480 the highest and newest version.
but it's worth nothing, if the LDR version of 2770917 (20534) is installed.
This LDR version corresponds to GDR version 16433 (much older),
but windows looks for the highest number (the old 20534 version).
    So is 2794599 superseded?
Even it is the newest version?

If you have installed all updates/hotfixes, you have fullfilled all IE10 pre-requests.
But you my also need the spell and hyp files for en-us and fr-fr.
And the frensh language pack for IE10.
But KUC will download/install these files for you automatically.

I'm trying to integrate all the updates and IE10 on a clean W7 x64 DVD with only SP1 with the latest KUC version (1.0.003.060) but i can't get IE10 to be installed in spanish which is the OS language, i get it integrated but the language is in english.

I'm running KUC several times in case it is missing a prerequisite or needs to remove something but apparently everything is fine.
