KUC a utility to check you Windows 7; 2008 R2; WMS; or Win embedded update status

I noticed a small problem with KUC W7 UpdateChecker (1.0.003.2101):

WU wants to install GDR versions of 2685811 and 2685813, but KUC does not create an ADD/GDR (Satisfy WU) entry for these if they are missing. If they are not missing, KUC flags them as OK/GDR (Keep this GDR). When servicing an offline wim, KUC wants to remove the GDRs if they are present.

Also, The KUC W7 Gui for the last few versions always showed 'check for new version' even though they were the latest versions at the time..

 

I basically do the same thing natively with Win7 and do not have this problem, so it may well have to do with your VM. Can't
say though.

For the "file not found" message, double-check that you've copied those 5 updates to both the \LDR folder and the \Normal folder. They normally only need to be in one folder or the other, but copy them to both as a test. Then try running the update.cmd again.

But, if you're getting errors even when attempting to install the updates manually, then KUC is not going to be able to install them either. Searching for info on your error message, it appears those updates may be corrupt and should be downloaded again. If you do that and the problem continues, then update your virus scanner and have it do a full scan on your system.

For the second problem, make sure you check the option for "use Satisfy WU updates" on the "Select Check Options 2" screen when you run KUC.

 

Thank you very very much for you help. I’ve successfully installed all updates. Yes, there’s a problem with the files I downloaded. I delete and download all of them again then things worked fine. I ran Kuc.exe and it says 0 to add. However, I still encounter a problem that I could not fix yet:
For the .netFramework 3.5, I’ve tried to download and install through windows update feature, install offline by running dism.exe… but I cannot be success yet. Although I’ve checked where it says “Satisfied windows update” and “.net35” in Kuc, I could not be success too! Could you please help me with this problem? I really need it because I want to share the internet through wifi on my laptop but running VirtualRouterPluss requires .netFramework3.5. Thanks a lot!

KB2811594 is superseded if KB2800088 installed in LDR mode

so we might need an "exception" in your program for this

 

Thx, but you misunderstood me. I actually want to integrate the updates to a real DVD-Image. The VM is just there to test my DVD-Image, but same problem happens if If integrate updates and then test the image on a real machine

Mount your image to a folder, run KUC with this command line swithc

but for 2800033 it has to be, removing the GDR from old KB and keep the LDR and then it works.
