In your script you mount image 1; did you also install the windows 7 starter(x86) or basic(x64) or did you install an other windows version?
normally the wim file contains more than one windows version, so you have to mount the correct image in the wim file.
to see if the integration process works you should run kuc again before unmounting the image.
You will also notice that there are some updates, that will only be offered if other updates have been integrated before.
After OS installation there will be more updates you have to add, since some updates can only be installed online.

Brilliant, you were right, I forgot to change that damn index number (using 1 for W8 while I should use 4 for W7).
It drove me crazy, I downloaded a Pro version and thought that KUC will just recognize it's one, but it doesn't work like that.
Thanks a lot, I wish I could have find this before, I would have saved a lot of time.

I am trying to update an offline wim using the /VHD-drive option and KUC abends after specifying the txt file and selecting
    continue.

    FATAL ERROR: 91
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

If I use the same KUC for online processing, it works okay. Anyone know what might be wrong?

    Edit:
Looks like there was something wrong with the mount point even though the wim was mounted. I discarded the mount
and mounted the wim again and KUC doesn't throw this error anymore. FYI in case someone runs into this problem.

    Hello

Are the 2757588 and 2561821 should be integrated into boot.wim and install.wim?

    Thanks :)

    Thank you for your answer.

For these two hotfix, I had integrated only in install.wim, but I could not install Windows 7 in UEFI.
That's why I wondered if it was also integrated into boot.wim

And I integrated no hotfix into boot.wim. Is not good, if I understand?

yes the two hotfixes is applicable and would be integrated to boot.wim (especially index:2)

and i think 2757588 has to be integrated manually (copying bootmgfw.efi to \Windows\Boot\EFI\
    and wdsmgfw.efi to \Windows\Boot\PXE\)

    I integrated the 2561821 to boot.wim and install.wim
    I integrated manually the 2757588 to boot.wim and install.wim
And bootmgfw.efi in the efi\boot (installation directory), rename by bootx64.efi

And can not install windows 7 in UEFI (no boot on the USB key)
I replaced the bootmgr.efi file (in the installation directory) by that of the 2561821 , and it does not work.

If I leave the bootmgfw.efi file in efi\boot and install.wim (Windows\Boot\EFI) of the RTM, it works

These 2 hotfix must be integrated into boot.wim but NOT into install.wim

    Thanks so much

Does that hold true for VHD also?

I currently change Remove_OLD.cmd to keep it from removing those 2 fixes from my wim and haven't encountered any
    problems doing this.

On windows 7, when I run KUC, it starts immediately with the first screen. After selecting Yes to
'Read and Understood', it takes ages (around 15 seconds) for the 2nd screen to appear. I don't
notice this on Win8. As you say, it looks as if KUC is having a problem connecting to the network because on
the 2nd screen, KUC does not show 'version is up-to-date' like it does on Win8. Networking is definitely
okay since I have no problem accessing the Internet using different applications. I turned off Windows
Defender and the firewall and that made no difference.

Is there any way to trace KUC to see what is causing the delay before displaying the 2nd screen?

    I dual-boot Win7 and Win8 so I don't think it is a harware problem. I'm wondering if anyone else
    is noticing this delay?
