Hi, There seems to be an issue with kb2446710. It can't be integrated. After several attempts (leaving the mounted image in "invalid" state, the package now appears in packages_OUT.txt with status blank. Trying to run the update command, it errors out with Is there a solution or workaround for this? Or can it be left in this state? Cheers.

Adric, you seem to be using the x86 image, perhaps the x64 image yield different results. Anyway, I looked up the error as you suggested, and found the buggy part. I still don't understand what is wrong with it... Do you see any lines like this in the log? Code: 2013-07-11 17:11:52, Error CBS ...... Sometimes it is necessary to add/remove a fix before you can add/remove another fix. Most of the time I was able to find the problematic fix causing the problem via the CBS Error (not Info) entry: Code: 2013-02-21 01:46:39, Warning DISM DISM Provider Store: PID=2480 Failed to Load the provider: C:\Users\Adric\AppData\Local\Temp\24BB61A8-0EB7-4E17-8489-2B82DBEF9A90\PEProvider.dll. - CDISMProviderStore::Internal_GetProvider(hr:0x8007007e) 2013-02-21 01:48:16, Warning DISM DISM Provider Store: PID=2780 Failed to Load the provider: C:\Users\Adric\AppData\Local\Temp\597D9334-28BD-4FB1-BDE7-6C2729846177\PEProvider.dll. - CDISMProviderStore::Internal_GetProvider(hr:0x8007007e) 2013-02-21 01:50:10, Warning DISM DISM Provider Store: PID=272 Failed to Load the provider: C:\Users\Adric\AppData\Local\Temp\B7AC0142-9568-4B11-92F4-85C362BEB6B0\PEProvider.dll. - CDISMProviderStore::Internal_GetProvider(hr:0x8007007e) 2013-02-21 01:57:29, Warning DISM DISM Provider Store: PID=520 Failed to Load the provider: C:\Users\Adric\AppData\Local\Temp\9BC1B914-FE57-40D5-98F7-28FBFA8AE0C0\PEProvider.dll. - CDISMProviderStore::Internal_GetProvider(hr:0x8007007e) 2013-02-21 01:58:31, Error CBS Failed to resolve package 'Package_3_for_KB2615701~31bf3856ad364e35~x86~~6.1.2.0' [HRESULT = 0x80070490 - ERROR_NOT_FOUND] 2013-02-21 01:58:31, Error CBS Failed to process single phase execution. If you don't see any CBS errors, then I'm out of suggestions. If you can't get rid of the error, starting with a fresh install wim and applying all the KUC updates with the latest KUC should fix it. It takes a while to re-apply all the updates again, but this has worked for me (twice) in situations where I could no longer service my current up-to-date offline wim. You can also try googling for dism error 0x80070490 1168
Hi Adric, Thanks for your tips, very much appreciated. Guess you're right, maybe the only way to get that update installed is using a fresh wim. Hoping that it wasn't necessary. The Error line is not present in the log. In fact, it only says "Info". When finishing (after repairing bad packages with KUC), the image becomes valid, can be unmounted / remounted and KUC runs OK on that image EXCEPT it doesn't install KB2446710. Maybe I'll test the image first to see if something got broke, as it is a .net framework update. Cheers.
Hi komm according to there KB articles, these windows 8 hotfixes need some additional registry settings KB2887239 Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlset\Services\ProfSvc\Parameters] "UseProfilePathExtensionVersion"=dword:00000001 KB2848322 Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters] "ExtendedSessTimeout"=dword:00000480 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Lanmanserver\Parameters] "AsynchronousCredits"=dword:00001024 KB2887179 Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\BTHPORT\Parameters] "CancelWaitWakeForD3State"=dword:00000001

On my most recent tests I am having more luck and I think I realize why my 1st runs were failure... I screwed up and was trying to integrate WMF when I shouldn't have. I also needed to read my logs and output files more thoroughly. Until I get a better understanding of the IE10 aspect I am still using WinToolKit to create a base image which included IE10, from there I use KUC for my integration. My initial impression in working offline is that I LIKE this KUC method and may possibly completely change my methods. I am now going to use WinToolKIt to integrate my SFX items into the KUC integrated image and see how that works for me. I will report back.
Wondering about MSFixIt's I checked but couldn't figure out is any of these are included in the KUC or even if they are still required in an updated image: MicrosoftFixit50470.msi MicrosoftFixit50531.msi MicrosoftFixit50688.msi MicrosoftFixit50848_KB2665946 MicrosoftFixit50877.msi MicrosoftFixit50897.msi MicrosoftFixit50907.msi MicrosoftFixit50908.msi MicrosoftFixit50939.msi I have continued to include them
@Ricktendo Your response made we really think and then verify something, because I have never had any problems with the Adobe installer before so WHY NOW was I having these problems??? Well here is what I have noticed: In ALL my previous integration's with just WinToolKit the GUI install would complete and the 1st system reboot would take place, (preparing 1st use, video check) and THEN my SFX installers would start, which is why I added the shutdown cmd to my finish script In this integration which still uses WinToolKit but after a KUC integration, the SFX installers are running BEFORE the GUI setup completes, which is why these 2 items are failing... and ironically now I don't need the shutdown cmd in my script because the system already reboots on it's own this way. I have NO idea why this has changed and now I'm not sure what's right and what's wrong with regard to the timing on this whole thing.
say i ran kuc 2 months ago on my offline wim and it downloaded updates during that time. and now there are superseeded updates as well as new ones. if i were to run kuc again, will kuc remove superseeded ones automatically and add new ones while not re-downloading what has already been downloaded?
