Any idea whether there will be a differentiation between Win8.1 RTM (Sep 2013) and Win8.1 GA (Oct 2013) editions ? Thanks.
This is just speculation (since I have not seen any special "GA" iso yet), but I would guess it is either identical or has the Update Rollup KB2887595 integrated. Since you can achieve the exact same thing using DISM, I do not think you need to worry about any differences; both should be equally serviceable.
Since the November patchday is now a few days in the past, does anybody know if KUC is still updated? It would be a shame to loose a fantastic tool like this :-(
GA refers to General Availability (Update Rollup). The latest iso released in Oct 2013. KUC 8.1 is used to update Win81 RTM (Sep 2013) edition. Not sure if it can also be used to update Win81 GA Update Rollup (Oct 2013) edition ?? Thanks...
The Oct 2013 edition is the same Sep 2013 edition with a couple updates...KUC will scan/detect the updates and it will simply skip them
Hi komm, you can update the software to download updates in separate folders?i Need to get 500 + but "KUC" downloads them all in the same folder (Windows 7). THX!!!!
is there a way to batchscript the following: 1. downloads (i choose the sections i want) 2. specify packages.txt via command line 3. integrate via batch what i normally do is i prepare a clean sp1 install.wim, then integrate the updates. now that mcrip is gone, i can no longer integrate/download everything one go. it seems that i need to first download everything except ie10 updates and then ie10 updates after getting packages.txt via dism. my ultimate goal is to separate this into 2 processes. one is to download, manually or not. another is to integrate the updates from the point of preparing a new install.wim.
I don't think it's dead. There's just no reliable repository for komm to reference from. If and when a new repository gets open I'm sure komm with update his tool. At least, I hope he does because there is really no other tool out like this one.
Its not a repository problem, komm has his own. I think its a time problem and the fatc that the updates for Windows 7 is so much I hope if he decides to call it quits, he at least open sources the db
