Hello komm Thank you for your feeback, I integrated WMP 4.0 to ISO without problem (NET 4.0 or 4.5 is not integrated)
Integration of WM 3.0 was also possible, but the problems began if you used this DVD for installation. Try using your DVD for installation and look if the 4.0 version works without problems.
I do not remember exactly but I have a msg in KUC that says: DO NOT INTEGRATE THIS UPDATE into the DVD-wim! OS installation will FAIL!!!! Needs .Net4 to be installed! Not Compatible with Exchange 2010! This is a package for WMF 3.0. so no need to test; just try to install/start the new system.
I had no problem to integrate and install W7 WMF 4.0 integrates a hotfix (I do not remember what that is)
How many times to do we need to tell you wmf should not be integrated/installed if .net 4.5+ is installed first, stop doing things half assed
Trying to use "KUC W8.1 UpdateChecker-Beta-v.0.4.012.2317.zip" ... But encountered "Error: 0xc0000135" when trying to create "packages.txt". > dism /image:%mntdir% /get-packages /format:table /English > packages.txt This command works fine for Win7SP1's install.wim ... but not Win81 Rollup1's install.wim Tried DISM v6.1.7600.16385 and then v6.3.9600.16384 ... both failed. The environment is Win7SP1. Any idea what is the issue ? Thanks.
1. Yes you need v6.3 to maintain an 8.1 image. 2. Post the packages.txt file. Even creating it encountered the error there should be something in it. or call the dism cmd without the ">packages.txt" part. 3. make sure the new dism version is installed correctly and included in the path. open a cmd prompt; call dism (without any path) 4. if you mount and/or use a win8.1 image with the old dism version you get: Code: Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.1.7600.16385 Error: 0xc0000135 An error occurred while attempting to start the servicing process for the image located at F:\W81_tmp. For more information, review the log file. The DISM log file can be found at dism-x86-1.log the 2. line shows you that you use the wrong dism version
Hello With the last KUC, WMF 4.0 is indicated "prohibited" It's normal? And when I want to install KB2819745, it also tries to install KB2809215, KB2872035 and 2872047 It is for WMF 4.0? Not only possible to install the KB2819745? Thanks
The new KUC for Windows 8.1 - DISM reports an error that the image is not serviceable anymore. Only .Net 3.5 was integrated, no other changes made to the original image. What could be wrong? Edit: I may have found something. The package list references the error packages as "install pending", look: Code: Package_for_KB2897983~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.0 | Install Pending | Update | 11/22/2013 7:52 AM Package_for_KB2898742~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.0 | Install Pending | Update | 11/22/2013 7:52 AM How can I remove those packages without running into problems?
After trying a lot of things, including a 100% clean image, it was not possible to use KUC on a W8.1 mounted image. The first run completed OK, no removals only 38 updates to add. On the second run I got another 27 updates (?), but those would not install, DISM error. Code: Installing 2xxxxxx Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.3.9600.16384 Image Version: 6.3.9600.16384 Processing 1 of 27 - Package_for_KB2887595: The specified image is no longer serviceable and may be c orrupted. Discard the modified image and start again. Error: 0x800f0830 Error: 0x800f0830 The command completed with errors. For more information, refer to the log file. The DISM log file can be found at D:\KUC\DISM.log I tried unmounting and commit the image, then remount it again, but the same error occurred. It seems that when there are pending updates, the image can't be updated anymore. Komm, there must be something wrong with the latest KUC. If you can spare a minute, please help out. Cheers.
x86 yes x64 is not superseded. If you run KUC it will show you the superseding updates. Code: [KB#] 2483564 [Version] 6.1.2.0 [State] Installed [Superseded] yes [SupersedingUpdates] 2799925, 2813430
For x64, With KB2483564-v2, I see "mscep.dll", and I don't find this file in KB2799925-v2 or KB2813430 but "mscep.dll" is for x64 server, no? Doesn't found this file in x64 client
You are right. Thanks, the remaining part of 2483564 is superseded for clients and all servers except 2008R2 datacenter and std.
