The "ignore.txt" file is referenced only when the "don't try to remove possible perm. updates" option is checked on the last screen in KUC for Win8.1. The file is used to tell KUC which updates are permanent (from the newer "Update" .isos) so KUC will not try to remove them and generate errors. But yeah, if you don't want a certain update added, just do as you did and delete it before running the Update.cmd.
I used Windows 7 KUC offline. I had no problems , but when used with an image of Windows 8.1 I get the following error: Anyone can help me ? thank you very much. PD : excuse my English , use a translator.
Send the packages.txt file generated by KUC to komm (KUC's creator) so he can try to find what may be causing the problem. His e-mail address is on the last page of the KUC-Ref.doc included in the the .zip file that also contained the KUC program.
Did you ever resolve the problem with KB3042058? I just got around to getting my wim updated for July and I am seeing the same problem.
No, i still didn't and the latest KUC is still trying to integrate this update to my offline image and it completly corrupts the logs if i try to do so, something is really wrong with that update. I just check LDR and Normal folders before i run the Update.cmd and remove KB3042058 if it is there, at the end this is the only update i get but i just leave it there. ignore.txt should work for updates you don't want to be added aswell
Successfully integrated KB3042058 offline using msmg toolkit v2.6 into Windows 8.1 Update3 iso.so yes it's valid for offline integration.
Try adding it with dism to a base U1 install.wim. It won't install. I have no idea what the toolkit does differently. Maybe it forces it somehow without showing an error. I will try the U3 install.wim.
Nope. Doesn't install for U3 either. If someone manages to install this KB with dism /add-Package, I'll take back what I said. komm is looking at options for a Win10 version of KUC. It's not as straightforward with Win10 though due to the different versions using different update branches (Insider, Current, LTSB, etc).
