Funny you use the word Paranoia twice I don't like services that stores my personal settings online It has nothing to do with Paranoia it is just how I prefer
Especially coming from someone that has their location listed as Delaware City, DE. Home of the biggest spies on the planet.
I hate to say it...they have been storing info for years this is nothing new with the internet. Do you log in to these forums each time you open the forums? If you do not want your info/settings/preference stored by services then I suggest you quickly unlplug your internet, and turn off all your cell phones...would be a start in how your prefer your personal information being stored. Oh and do not use any credit card or bank account.
You need to log into an online account tied to microsoft. In other words what you used for you insider account...can't be a local one.
Do you mean that by enabling that option, you've got rid of the 'explorer.exe' shut down/restart error messages? My UEFI system has been struggling with this problem for three builds in a row: 10130, 10134 and 10135. All drivers properly installed/updated. I was seeing the same with this build and the previous one. First of all, make sure you have those elements enabled by going to Settings->Personalization->Start->Customize List and then switch on 'File Explorer' and 'Settings' at the top of the list, in case they are not. If the problem persists as it was in my case, sign out and back in and you should see them now. If not, and as it was suggested by another user, try swapping between full screen and normal Start Menu and see if that fixes. If none of the above fixes the problem, then I'm as lost as you. You now need to sign in using a Microsoft account. Exactly. Again, you are seeing this because you must be using a local account. You must log in with a Microsoft account.
Prefere I said btw I know my life started with an social security number who cares any way !! But that does not make me like it does it ? I used the word funny because people in general are reacting with strong words on this subject I can only say in words of the beatlles Let It Be
It is disturbingly easy to crash the Welcome Back screen after an upgrade if you click around too much.
I think this is like the second time I posted about this......but I ran 10074 with a local account, was notified about the availability of 10130, and upgraded to 10130 with my local-account 10074. When the upgrade finished I had 10130, local account. The updates come out of the two channels that currently are used in Insider previews WU...that's what they key on, evidently, as opposed to the Microsoft account. I can leave feedback (which I do) and I use OneDrive--but those applications are keyed to my Microsoft account separately from the OS. Local account Win10 works fine for me. (P.S. I love spies, because I are one. Look at my pic. Ring a bell?...)
Did you upgrade direct from HD/SSD? I had the same problem, just connected a USB stick with correct build in it and the thing worked
Can Ent be downgraded to Pro if I run into build upgrade issues? Can Ent editions even be upgraded with all these Pro leaks?

You accusing me of spying, or can't you think of anything better to say! I also don't have their location listed as Delaware City, DE I have MY location listed as Delaware City, DE.
